  1. Cookie now has a box for the HC52/62 http://www.cookiecomposites.com/shop/blackbox/65/index.htm
  2. I am currently looking at that camera too but i have a bonehead helmet. I emailed bonehead last week to see if they have a box for it, as by now im just assuming that they do not make one because I stil havent heard anything from them on it, a simple "no we dont make one for that camera yet" would be better than not ever getting a reply from them but ill wait til the end of this week before i come to any conclusions about their customer service.

  5. I'm pretty sure i read were it took place at a DZ in Puerto Rico cuz no one in the states was willing to participate... But i coul be wrong, but i think i read that in an article somewhere!
  6. Yeah i agree, he might be crazy but he definitely thinks things through before goin through with the actual stunt. In his new movie, Nitro Circus 5 "Thrillbillies", there is so many dangerous stunts but all well thought out. If anyone has the opportunity to see this movie take it, will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time, dirt bikes, monster trucks, rally cars, snowmobiles jumpin 260 foot gaps, alot of base footage and got a good 7 - 10 minute section of base at the grand canyon, definitely a must see!
  7. Yeah im fairly new at skydiving myself and i was already looking in the classifieds on jump 10 that way by the time i was off student status i would be able to have my own rig even if it does take a couple months to find it seperately... I would definitely recommend buying it in seperate pieces if you cant find a complete rig for a smokin deal... I had found a used javelin with 700 jumps for 450 and a sabre 135 for 375 i think, but i couldnt find a reserve with a decent price but by the time i was on jump 22 i had grabbed a raven for 450. Thats only like 1300 with shipping and another 80 to put it all together with the pack jobs... I know i dont have an AAD, but that is really cheap i think compared to some of the prices ive seen... Then i sold the sabre 135 for 325 and snatched up a stiletto 120 for 750 with only 250 jumps(very very clean) so now im sitin at like maybe 1800 all together. I just could not let my self go spend money on renting gear, when i could be sending that money to the bank. So instead of spending up to 40 - 60 dollars on rental for just two jumps why dont i just take out a loan for the 1800 and put that 40 - 60 dollars towards the principal, i know there is interest in there but you will come out better in the long run. Plus it'll help build your credit! Just my two cents
  8. Yes, i read somewhere in the article about it that he had a harness on underneath his shorts... Im guessing it was just a simple harness the went around the waist with leg straps and a couple hooks for attachment points... Really not sure what it looks like but he was wearing one.
  9. Travis Pastrana, the one who won the X Games by being the first one to pull a double back flip on a dirt bike, recently skydived with no parachute. Here is a video clip of his new movie Nitro Circus 5 where he jumps out of a cessna with nothing but shorts, socks, and a red bull! This guy really likes pushing the limits! Enjoy! http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=22195954 Here is a link to the article http://expn.go.com/expn/story?id=3055619
  10. I just saw a new PD canopy called Spire on the cover of PD's website. There is a short clip of the canopy in action but its very short. Does anyone have anymore information on this canopy? Is it the next high performance canopy from PD? Elliptical? Cross braced? Just interested in the new canopy to see how our sport is constantly evolving.
  11. If you go to omniskore.com and look at the streaming videos under the freefly section, one of the two that is posted on there is anamoly's run... Looks very familiar to the freefly video they have on youtube except that have added a few more twist to some of the manuvers... Everytime i go to spaceland these guys are always working so hard on training and getting there runs to perfection, they really deserve it and i hope they bring the title back to Texas again!
  12. I have owned both and i agree that the Neptune is definitely easier to use, not ever seeing one in your life you would be able to run through all the elements that it has no problem, and it has a larger screen than the VISO, which is good, but the readings on the neptune varried alot on my jumps from the same exit and deployement altitudes... The VISO is definitely a little more compicated to use and get to all the functions on it but it is much more accruate, well for me at least some have never had problems with the neptune... The one thing i do wish the VISO should have is a slightly larger screen and the tempature reading like the neptune so you'll know actually how hot it is on those summer days waiting to get on the plane... I like the function in the VISO were you can actually go back and replay the whole skydive either in measurements of altitude or speed, its kinda cool whenever you can actually tell the fluctuation in speed whenever going from belly to a sit... Both are good altimeters but i prefer the L&B products even though they arent as user friendly as the Neptune(so easy you dont even need a user manual), but once you own one for a couple weeks you wont even need the user manual anymore
  13. i had the same thing happen to mine and i only hade maybe 20 jumps on it, i normally jump at a DZ that brings me to 14000 and i got pretty reasonable FF times, 60 to 65 sec and im only 125lbs but the speeds were off, then i went to a DZ alot closer to the house that just has a C182, which we get to 10000 on a good day, and it read 88 seconds, now i know im a lightweight at 125lbs but i know my little ass dont fall that slow... I lovED my neptune, past tense, after repeated FF and speed misreadings i sold it and went with L&B and havent had a problem since
  14. VERY NICE!! all open ears and eyes for any suggestion anyone might have. Thanks for the pic
