  1. I have three pairs of flex z mini goggles. two colored and one clear. I like them, but I also bought sorz goggles just to try them out. I don't think you can go wrong with flexz's. They fog if you keep them on on the plane, but who does? Put them on on the jump run and you won't have problems.
  2. Yeah i'll also point out that the new steering lines were probably set at factory length.. I acctually lenghtened them like 8 inches on the 170.. Luckily I have long arms :)
  3. I too had serious bucking problem with my sabre2, a rigger changed the steering lines and made them shorter than they were before. When I lenghtened them back to where they were, the problem was gone. 170 loaded 1.24 at the time. We'll see if I have to lengthen my new 150's steering lines too when I start using the fronts on it. to the opening issue, I noticed more off heading openings later on with the canopy, probably something to do with line trim cause the canopy had 500-600 jumps on it without line chance at that time.. But those off headings were mostly like 90 degrees max so isn't a big deal. Not hard(not a single hard opening for 190 jumps) but doesn't take forever either. Closed end cells open nicely with a gentle pull from rears. I like it, but can't really compare it to anything else than pilot as I haven't been able to demo a safire2.
  4. +1, buy something jumped at least 200. Packing is a bitch with new one and you might get very frustrated. Plus you'll be changing it relatively soon to another one.
  5. Plus the durability of the paint is crap.. Bought mine used, wasn't happy with it so I sold it.
  6. +1 where you'r asked to specify the size of the container, there's an option "let us choose the right size" or something similar. You'll be able to write down your canopy choises there.
  7. http://www.skysystemsusa.com/helmets/oxygn_a3.php this one comes to mind.
  8. Brian germain also says that it might be easier to transfer your weight to your feet when your body tilts forward when flaring.. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/safety/detail_page.cgi?ID=671 You can't really lean forward with chest strap tight though and it won't affect that much with bigger canopies anyway. You may want to consider that your cutaway handles can be harder to find if you've loosened your chest strap.
