...anybody here ride/race? Dirt or street? I myself race desert in So. Cal. I feel safer skydiving than I do racing off-road. I have only gotten one desert racer to come out to skydive, and said he will never do it again.. I dont know if it is a balls thing, or a kick thing. By the way, I still dont know why I even do this shit. I LOVE THIS SPORT!!!...Peace, Dean-O

Who is going to Cal-City for the big Farewell Fling!!!
IEJuggalo replied to IEJuggalo's topic in Events & Places to Jump
...depends how many replies we get here. As far as loads, I am sure they will be doing turn-a-round loads all weekend. I will be there Wednesday after work. I did some work around the hanger for Van today, and it was neat to jump on lunch break. That was another case of beer for me. -

My dropzone is going to close, Cal-City

...I am sure I know a few of you. My name is Dean-O. I have been in the sport for a very short time compared to you all. Cal City is where I did my first tandem with my wife and her family. I have been the only one to keep it going so far. I have met so many good people and feel a sense of brotherhood with all the guys and gals. #1 has to be Tony Kekahuna, the sky ninja, my trainer. Bob and Judy Celeya. What an awesome crew. I feel like I have just been dumped by some fine ass chick with no warning. I will at least be one of the very last people to get there license from this DZ. This weekend I will be doing my 25th jump on saturday. Like someone had said before, I wish we had a way to pass the torch, rather than turn it into anything other than what it has been. M y heart is bruised. We will just have to wait and see. Peace, Dean-O -
Wow.....did not think it would feel like that

...lol. I remember a HUGE blur on my first tandem. I did three before I started my AFF. I am jumping another level this weekend. I give big props to those who went straight to the AFF program. Good luck buddy. BS. -
...I was out at the Peckerhaed Meat this year, man what a party. I remember you. Good times to come. What a sport. I have started my AFF, and am rolling right through. Boy that hop & pop sure was interesting on the gut.lol. I hope to see you soon.

...anybody here ever jump California city?
-
...yes, dirt we have and lots of it. Sure love it. We have a lot of room to practice landings. This DZ has been on alot of shows. I hope everything goes as planned. Being so new to this, it is still very frightening. I love it.

...I did my first tandem in California City almost a month and a half ago. I have been back twice since to finish my tandem progression and move on to my AFF. I am sooo excited and nervous at the same time I get dragonflies in my stomach. I race dirt bikes in the california desert and love the feeling of a good adrenal rush. I never expected what I was in for when I tried this. My wife has two tandems under here belt, but is going to wait a bit to see how it goes. She might be doing a few more tandems before attempting the lisence. I am starting my AFF jumps on saturday the 30th, and hope to get 5 jumps in by the ened of the weekend. Now, for my home DZ. CAL CITY RULES! The people, the program, the brotherhood (and sisterhood), are all so cool. They let me bring in my toy hauler and camp with them at the Peckerhead Meat last month and I made so many new friends. Hope to make a few here. PEACE! Blue skies! P.S. My name is Dean-O
