  1. The only person who can answer the cutaway question is the person who was under the canopy at the time. If you didn't feel comfortable landing it, then you should've cut it. You came out alright so you must've done the right thing. Someone else may or may not have done the same and still ended up alright. 2. Oh I've already done it. You know who you are. _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
  3. 1 tube with Rob, my favorite jump partner 1 perfect landing followed by a reinflated canopy dragging me across the ground on my back while cursing and wrestling with a steering toggle while everyone laughed. 1 awsome reverse rodeo jump that involved a pulled calf muscle 1 two way 1 solo where the object was to see how fast I could fall on my belly. The answer 137 mph. Had a great day. _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529

  6. Hopefully when you hear "DOOR", it'll be me yelling it at you and then you'll know everything will be okay becuase the megmeister would never do anything to hurt you. _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
  7. Goldcoast does not offer s/l any longer, but they have a tremendous AFF program. Its the program I grauduated from and its where I still do all of my jumping. Those guys really are my second family. You won't be dissapointed if you choose them for your training. Plus--------we are getting ready to move to a big new fancy fabulous dropzone with all sorts of wonderful amenities. WOOHOO!!! If you go, let me know and I'll see you there. _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
  8. What if you hold onto me for the entire time? Does that kill it for you? _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
  9. HEY!!! DON'T MOCK MY LANDINGS!!!! Its more of an art than a science. And, yes I will ride in the plane with you, but I won't try to catch you in freefall as this is way too distracting on an AFF jump. My landings are like this--------I'm very accurate in where I land, just not so much in how I flare. Your day will come. You'll have to land too and boy will I laugh my ass off at you. _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
  10. This is Megan. Hello everyone. Yes I am responsible for Travis. Be nice to him. He is a good guy (he hasn't made his first jump yet). I post occasionally, but I tend to shy away from message boards due to the amount of argueing and biccering that goes on. I am an avid skydiver though. Welcome to the family Travis. YEEHAW!! _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
  11. Okay I just did a search on teabagging. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. And don't forget the "mushroom stamp" that goes along with it. Nice guys. Very classy. This is what I get for joining a male dominated sport. _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
  12. You know I find this post interesting because the first time I jumped a seven cell it was also a Spectre. I immediatly knew that I was a seven cell girl. When I tried to describe to people why I loved it so much I found myself saying over and over again "its just like the canopy and I were connected somehow. Like it knew what I wanted it to do and I could just place it in the sky and on the ground right where I wanted it." I really never felt this way with the nine cells I've jumped. I always felt like I was fighting with the canopy just a little. LIke my good landings were just luck rather than skill. I'm glad to see that others have had this experience and I'm not out of my mind. It seems that people who jump seven cells are very passionate about their canopies. I'm glad to be part of the big 7 club too. _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
  13. Oh but I really do want to know. Come on guys. Just tell me. I'm a big girl. I can handle it. _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
  14. Okay I don't even know what that means. Should I know what that means? Please do fill me in. _______________________________________________ CARPE DIEM PMS#529
