  1. The "Radical" from Atair Slovenia is the best kept secret due to lack of commercial promotion.... fun to fly and land, soft two stages openings on heading, the faster you go the slower it opens and therefore no problem opening in full flight, and when, rarely, twist occur, for gross pilot mistake, not spining violently, just a slow turn and last, the powerfull flare will bring a large smile on your face... go radical mate! Speak to Uncle Charlie [[email protected]], by the way they are not only of the best quality in aeronautic design and textile, they are also priced very reasonably!
  2. The week end has been tremendous with tons of friendship and so much fun. After enjoying flying 10 ways, pleasure went on with my new canopy c/o UncleCharlie, the latest Atair "Radical"... IMO, THE perfect elliptical for us, wingsuiters, the two stage opening is simply brilliant for softness and clean opening and the flare power is out of this world. Thanks again to Pazzo, Chiller, James, the pilot who took us up to 15,000 and all the Italian and Brasilian characters who added a special flavour to this meet... I'll surely come back ASAP
  3. I'll be at Paracentro Locarno on Sunday 29/10, weather permitting, if you care to do a duetto!
  4. Wow, Kris I'm sure PF will honour you with a golden chocolate medal... seriously, just gear up properly and you won't have problem of this nature, Mate!
  5. Quote My question to everyone who might be interested in using this software is: What make/model is your GPS? GPS 10 and pocket PC DEll Axim X51v JJ
  6. Go ahead, Michael, we are still interested in your project!
  7. Just what I had hoped someone would design: real time feedback of glide angle and analysis of the flight right after landing... so, yes yes yes, I'm interested. I have been using the GPS 10 and Pocket Dell Axim X 51 v (not a Palm though), but analysis with Paralog gave me some weird results, then, reading the Axim specs, I found out that the maximum operating altitude is 10,000 ft! Would another 3 or 4 grand really prevent it from working? Thanks so much for sharing!
  8. I couldn't let that pass without mentioning it: When I received the Phantom from the factory, it appeared that the colour pattern was slightly different from the one I had ordered. Robi apologized profusely and said to send it back, a new suit would be cut and shipped soon... I didn't care for being a picky customer and said to him that this colour pattern would fly as well as the one I had ordered, so no big deal, I would keep that one, no worries mate! Then after trying it in flight I didn't feel the amazing quality of the demo suit I had tried before and realized that it was too tight for me. Now, if a colour pattern doesn't affect flight, it was clear that a slightly undersized suit change the feel. I realized that the measures I sent (bare footed and without cloth on) were actually short of 2 cm in leg and arm length when wearing running shoes (not even Yuri's) and clothes. So I asked Robi whether his offer of cutting another suit would still hold, now that the suit had a couple of jumps... and the response was: yes they would sell the suit as a used one and cut another one to fit my size and colour pattern... and sure enough, yesterday I received the new suit, as promised! Many thanks to James and Robi for being so thorough apart from producing the awesome Phantom
  9. James, Tristan, Herwig, Lele and Co, thanks very much for your help over the week end, it has been fantastic in all respects, nice, funny and friendly people, beautiful scenery of the Sion valley and majestic Alp mountains and of course my first Phantom flights in flock .... what a blast! Looking forward to the next meet, Take care, JJ
