  1. The other thing I think is absolutely ridiculous about those bluetooth things is that people insist on wearing the stupid thing 24/7, as if they're so important that they absolutely MUST answer the phone before the first ring is over. --------------------------------------------- " Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man..."
  2. It just shows now that coddling muslims is the new PC. They just ned reasons to be angry, and they'll be mad about something else if not that. They've been becoming the most sensitive group in the world. As a christian, i've seen Christianity as the butt of numerous jokes and critisism across the spectrum of the media. You don't see me taking to the streets in violent protest every time I see something desrespectful to Jesus. --------------------------------------------- " Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man..."
  3. I'm sure this is old news to some people. but I found this on the state departments website http://www.state.gov/www/regions/africa/naffpub.pdf --------------------------------------------- " Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man..."
  4. My first free fall was from a Casa, and I learned from Casas and C-130s. I never did a door exit until about jump 23. It really helps when you're learning to dive to have the instructor poise out in front of you. My first jump, he had me put my hands on his shoulders on the ramp, and just lightly push him off. It will help you keep your head up, give you a target at 45 degrees to dive to, and it keeps your eyes off the ground. --------------------------------------------- " Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man..."
  5. When I was eight years old, I found a weather balloon on our property. I guess when the balloon fails, a parachute deploys for a safe ride to the ground. We called the weather service, and they picked up the sensors and equipment. They left my brother and I with the six foot diameter parachute, that we subsequently busted ourselves up with at a nearby ravine, temporarily putting on hold our dreams of flight. --------------------------------------------- " Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man..."

I drove the extra distance past closer DZs because this place was highly recommended by an associate. His advice was spot on , and it was well worth the extra drive. As soon as I showed up, the staff, and jumpers welcomed me into the fold. This place is great for up-jumpers, students, and tandems. It has a very laid-back atmosphere, while still having an experienced staff focused on safety. There are usually several AFF instructors availible for students. The king air is awesome, and there is always someone willing to teach you something new.
