I got this from him this morning: Hi ! Thanks for getting back to me. I am buying the item for my brother who happens to be a jumper. I am located in Indiana. I would like to see some recent pictures or videos of the item if you have them although I am OK with the one I saw on drop zone. So what re you letting it go for? I asked because I would like to have a bargain. What mode of payment do you accept? The only payment I have is by a cashier's check.. that is the only way I could complete the transaction right now. I am trying to complete this in a very timely manner because my monthly pay would be coming inn soon and can take care of things with it without stress or time wasting. I hope to hear from you soon, and you do not have to worry about the cost of the shipping of the items, I will take care of it and it should be excluded from the final price. Thank you very much as I await your swift response again. God bless. Regards, Corey. 765 233 6077 (Calls and sms but sms best to get me) I wonder if a fraudulent cashier's check would interest the usgovt? Someone should play along and turn it over to them. -

I got one from this guy today, same text. Maybe there could be some sort of rating system for users... something like a feedback score. With so much gear being sold on dz.com, it would really be helpful. -

what am i missing? did tawny scam someone, or is there something up with the ad? -
Have you had a cutaway yet? I have had 2 cuts, 4 reserve rides. My last rig had a soft reserve pillow, but my new one is coming with a good old fashioned handle. They are easier to grab and not hard to confuse. My first cutaway with the soft handle I remember physically looking for the yellow cables before chopping... just to be sure. Last thing you want to do is second guess yourself in that situation.

How many dont bother to get a license?
onelawndart replied to wasatchrider's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I never bothered to get mine.. I have jumped at the WFFC, beaches, helis and balloons. even did a demo (shh) but I did have a logbook. Not so long ago nobody cared so much about the license as they do now. My gear bag along with my rig, alti and logbook disappeared mysteriously with my ex-wife. After a few years I finally bought another rig and rushed out to the dz. Times have changed, without a logbook or a license I had to jump through some hoops, nothing major.. but my advice is get the license now so you can jump anywhere without a hassle. -
