  1. Our DZO took an elbow to the face by a FS jumper and busted his nose exiting a skyvan... f*ckin flatties....
  2. Fantastic thread! Ive ticked off plenty on the list... id like to add freefall nosebleed whilst filming tandem , see attached pic ( unless you are squeamish ) The inside of my nose was cut by the overly long teflon cable of the tandem rig on the TI infront of me going up my nostril as he shuffled around on green light... i didnt realise itd actually cut me till i left the step leaving a nice big splatter straight up the side of the plane. Not thinking the tandem student would notice, i carried on and filmed his jump which looked like a slasher movie by the time id finished. ( no blood on him or the TI, but my lense was splattered all the way down ) The looks on the faces of everyone on the ground when i landed were priceless, especially his friends and family. The student had noticed but had cooly shrugged it off as an altitude nosebleed and gallantly said it didnt spoil his jump, he even tried to insist on paying me for the vid which of course i wouldnt accept any money for. Quite a clean-up operation afterwards, & my rig is still stained
  3. You know youre a skydiver when......... You waste hours on this forum.
  4. Hinton was awesome, cheers to everyone there. Really friendly DZ. The PAC was broken but the islander did the job. Shame they have to stop jumping at 7pm, something to do with keeping the locals on side. Sunset jumps wouldve been nice but other than that a great DZ.
  5. QuoteAye, Sarah and Mike. I saw them last week, they just returned from Mercer. Sarah will be up there picking up her repack i shall imagine. Yep, i got to know them at Mercer, will be good to see them again
  6. I was truly spoiled jumping the porter. All of my (meagre) 120 jumps were made from it except for a handful from the C185 & C172 when the porter was broken. Its a tough act to follow! The skyvan at Nethers should be fun though....
  7. Should i know her? There was a Sarah at Mercer, her man was Mike. Didnt know her surname.
  8. I'll be at Hinton on sunday, looking forward to jumping the PAC750.
  9. So im told, i'll be there for sure. Always wanted to take a running jump out the back of one of them.
  10. Not yet, just arrived back yesterday. ( at last, warm weather, NZ was FREEZING! ) It'll prob be nethers or headcorn to start with, gotta cough up to the BPA first though... Duty visit to 'rents this w/end but after that i'll be takin to the skies again.
