I just watched Richard's video. Sorry I didn't get with you on Sunday, Kathleen. I promise I want to show it to you. I was burning a DVD copy for Jill this evening and was watching it to make sure the DVD was OK, and I just realized I am never going to see my friend again. I can't stop crying now, and it sucks. May be it's strange, maybe not, but until now, I have not felt like I had grieved. But now, three weeks later, I feel like someone just told me my friend died. I will never again go to The Farm and have my personal Richard greeting committee. This hurts. Maybe a little delayed, but Blue Skies dear friend. I loved you and I miss you. I am sorry I have been so angry at you, I know you did not mean to leave us like this. I will treasure every memory and hope to see you again (but not too soon). I can't imagine what it is going to be like at The Farm without him there. I never really talked much with Lee one on one, but I sure knew he was there! I'm going to miss watching him land...it was something to behold for sure. Brandy, we love you and are there for you if you ever need us for anything. Mel I like shiny things mmmm.....shiny things

I am of the opinion that dogs could be allowed (if it is a large enough and safe area not located on an airport) depending upon the dog and only after the trustworthy-ness of the dog and owner(s) is shown. Maybe even a small contract of some sort should be required so the DZO would have some legal recourse when the dog owner does not pick up after them or allows them to tromp all over the packing area. Also, if your dog has a nasty, uncontrollable bodily function that makes a mess and stinks, please leave them at home. It's not their fault, but it grosses EVERYONE out. You don't have to lie, AJ is annoying as hell when there is food around, and that is 100% mine and Eric's fault. I know my dog is not perfect, but we sure try to make sure he is not in the way, in the packing area during the day, or around people who do not want to be around him due to fear or allergies (or if he is wet from the pond). And if my dog ever bites someone, I would personally borrow a gun from someone and shoot him. I'm not sure why some people seem to think their dog is always in the right when they get aggressive. I am a nice person and love dogs, and even I have been bitten. Seems to be a big problem with small dogs especially. Note: Your dog IS NOT CUTE when he/she is barking, growling, and snarling at me. I don't care how small he/she is, I WILL kick him if he/she comes near me. I like shiny things mmmm.....shiny things

Just wondering what everyone's view on dogs and drop zones are. I personally cannot imagine a DZ without dogs about, but I understand it is not practical or safe at some DZ's. Also, for future reference, where are the best dog friendly DZ's in the US? We may want to travel someday.

The scheduled time that the TV network has for the ending of the NASCAR race in Atlanta on Sunday is about 5:30 pm. I would say from experience going to the races that traffic will start getting really bad about 30 minutes after the conclusion of the race, so I would try to get past AMS prior to 6 pm on Sunday. If you must wait until afterwards, wait until around 10 pm. I like shiny things mmmm.....shiny things
