  1. Congratulations! Hey Trent, why didn't you guys come to Russia for World Cup? It was a very cool ff competition!
  2. Yes. That's what I did, before I got Velo. Xaos 21 is very inderstandable and pretty easy in control. It reminded me my previous canopy Crossfire 2 a lot, but it was faster, recovery arc was deaper and openings were more radical. I wasn't lucky with openings, cause canopy was old and crapy, but my friends, who got Xaoses 21 were pretty happy with openings and fly characteristics. And honestly I got bored pretty soon on this canopy until I got my Velocity. I did about 900 jumps with it and I'm still loving it!
  3. This camp was awesome! I'd like to take part in few more like that. Thanks to all organizers! Women FF record is my goal for the next year. Hope, I'll be there.
  4. I'd like to know more information about this.
  5. I think, that result mostly depends on pilot, and after that on canopy.
  6. Did anybody try this swooping device? What do you think about it?
  7. Same with Katana. This is not a canopy for small wl. Best wl for these 2 canopies,I thing, 1.6-1.8. Crossfire 2 is a good choise because of it's openings and flying characteristics. Can,t say nothing about Katana, I didn't try this canopy. You said, that she did about 100 jumps per jear. But high perfomance canopies piloting means regular jumps. Maybe, best choise for your friend would be Safire 2 with 1.4wl? Anyway, it depends on her adequacy.
  8. Here is original Airtec article about small canopies landing: http://cypres.cc/Sites/englisch/Frameset_engl_skydiving.htm
  9. In Airtec they explained this choice in the following way:Cypres will fire even if light-weight skydiver in big freefly suit will fall with his pilot chute in tow. I guess when they decide it they didn't think about possible problems with crossbraced canopies landings. But now it's important! In Airtec they investigated this problem. In october 2000 they tested Cypres with Luigi Cani using his VX60 ft². Luigi couldn't reach the speed enough for Cypres fire. But they didn't say, that it was impossible to reach this speed under canopy and they would continue to observe, what was happen in small canopies world . I guess, the time has come. Maybe they'll invent something new. But now, before they did it and test it, I see only one way for me: do not turn my canopy more than 270 degrees during regular jumps with Cypres, during swoop jump switch it off or take it out from my rig.
  10. It,s interesting idea, but I guess it's a little bit difficult to do. I can't exactly say is AAD necessary for swoopers or not. I think we need ADD only when we unconscious or after low cutavay (but not too low). Most popular malfunctions in swoop are partialy malfunctions (linetwists, overline and others...). And AAd will not help you if you'll not cut away your main. And I don't know what can you do to be unconscious during swoop jump, only if you hit the ground or water Jonathan Tagle once told me, that he had cypres fire during swoop landing after final turn. It's very dangerous! And we can remember that cypres activates when vertical speed is more than 78mph and Jay's speed during his world record jump at entry gate was 91mph. So, it means that creators of new AAD will have to change speed of activation value. And it means that this AAD will be not valid for usual jumps. So, the new AAD must be also waterproof and antishock. Maybe I missed something...
  11. Congratulations!!! It's unbelievable! That's realy cool!
