  1. Have to say, i haven't got much sympathy, and the rider deserves a kicking.

High powered sportsbike + shorts and tee shirts + showing off for camera = probably a future candidate for a darwin award.

    Funny video though :D

Tigers are designed to eat meat. Humans seem to have adapted to it but it's primary design is not carnivore.

We would only have adapted to it if there was an evolutionary advantage, hence there is an element of "design" in there surely?

The Fang theory doesn't hold up either. Gorillas don't eat meat and look at the fangs on them! Our jaws are not designed to crush like say.. a tiger, or a wolf, or hyena... etc. Our Jaws are designed to grind.

The jaws on a gorilla confer sexual advantage due to scaring away the other males - this is not a human trait because we developed communication and opposable thumbs to fight each other with instead - so hence i would suggest that our canines are down to diet?

Humans are not predators by nature. Humans are grazers. We raise crops, or pick them from bushes or trees, or take them from the ground.

Sure humans hunt, and have hunted for a gazillion years but primarily, humans are grazers.

I don't understand why you say this. early humans were all hunter gatherers - i would hazard a guess that of all the different populations of early humans, you will find very few if any that were solely vegetarian.
I know you don't wanna argue though - and i should really go home anyway;):)
Vallerina, by the way - if that is your choice, good for you, and just be careful with your cooking. My best friend is a veggie and she gets the worst gas!
(and isn't there one particular vitamin - maybe B12 that is very hard to get in vegetables - this might have been covered earlier) I eat meat but i take a supplement as well as ssometimes my diet is not the best balanced. i don't see any problem in doing so.

  3. Fair enough - i take it your objection is in the treatment of the animals rather than the morals of eating animals per se?

However being dragged out of the sea by your gills jammed into a net with hundreds of other fish to lie gasping for air on a deck until you can't breathe any more doesn't strike me as being much more humane than a trailer ride and a steel bolt to the neck....

(I know thats an over simplification but i always think this is a slightly strange argument) :P

and I refuse to by anything but fish, or any

Sorry to jump on this - and i eat meat etc, but why should fish be any different to land animals. This strikes me as mixed morals?
I have vegetarian friends who are venomously anti meat - and go fishing :S

  6. FWIW, I studied a "sport" version of Aikido to a high level (called shodokan, decended from tomiki for those in the know) and i agree with the statement that any of the more "traditional" styles are a little too stylised to be of any real use, however the principles that are common to a lot and things such as timing and rhythm are very useful in all sorts of ways.

Incidentally, i also trained in Capoeira for a couple of years and if you want something really FUN - and fairly spectacular....B|

  7. From what i can make out, this is a distilled version of Myers Briggs - if you google Myers Briggs you can probably find a more complete test, and as they go, MB tends to be pretty good. (When I did the full licensed version and read my full profile, it described my relationships down to a T - was quite scary in fact, both good and bad points!!! :P)

  9. I am trying to find a full face that fits properly, and i am unsure about how they should sit. For example, with the Z1, is the idea to gte your chin at least flush with the chin guard or is it supposed to line up on your nose? I have seen people wearing it wither way, and to me, to leave your chin hanging out protected solely by the gasket seems illogical. (live long and prosper ;))
Has anyone got any pictures of how they wear theirs? similar idea on an oxygn or oxygn A3 i guess?

    thanks

    Dave
