  2. First I Think Chris Uses Cork as a friction Buffer between the Camera and the GM Plate, Check to see if it has been installed. Next check to see if the 1/4 x 20 Flat Head Screw has bottomed out. Quite often between all the different Camera manufactures the Tripod tapped hole depth is not the same. You want the bolt to not bottom out but you also want it close to that point. There is a lot of ware and tear on that single point of attachment so you want the most thread engagement you can get. If all else fails send it to me and I will put in a Dog Hole since this is for video. No Charge U pay shipping. [email protected]
  3. I Love the Really Right Stuff but to have a warm fuzzy fealing about your Camera going By By you will need to take it apart and add 3 more coned washers to the stack up. This is a little tricky as one slip and you have washers all over the room. Now a nice choice is the QuickShoe, weighing only 3 ounces and standing up only 3/8" it is by far the lightest and thinnest on the market. Also if your using this QuickShoe for video there are additional holes in the plate that match the Dog hole in the base of the camera to prevent rotation! If you purchase the Schumacher QT Dog. Way to go Terry. Oh I'm Terry
  4. Does anybody have any recomendations for saving HD camera footage from a CX 100 to a DVD. It seems pointless th have a HD Camera and not save them in HD. I'm guessing a Desktop Computer with a HD Burner (Blu Ray) I have not seen a DVD Burner offering anything but UP Scaleing on the out. Thanks
  5. Just to let you know that if you return anything to me it will be replaced! Even if there is damage from improper assembly. I will try to produce a better assembly instructions in the future.Blue Skies Terry Schumacher
  6. Ok, here is the deal. The worst thing that can happen is when you get to the DZ you notice the Tripod bolt is missing. To help with this, this is what I have done. The plate is threaded in 3 locations. The thickess is .062, the grove in the 1/4 x 20 bolt is .050. When you assemble the QuickShoe screw the bolt into the plate untill you feel resistance. Now keep forcing the bolt untill it starts to rotate free. What has happened is the last thread on the plate has stripped, now the bolt will nQuoteever fall out. Now place your camera on the bolt, square up the pointing direction and tighten. The other holes are for any Video Camera. It holds a dog Bolt so the Video camera will not rotate. Hope this helps. PS I have a new e mail, it is [email protected]. Blue Skies, Terry Schumacher
