In the next couple days I will be starting limited production on a role cage to fit the Sony HDR-CX7. 1st one goes to Spot next Omar then Trunk. Can anyone help? Yesterday we held the banquet for the Collegiat Nationals at Skydive Arizona and I did all the Dubbing of the two days of jumping. At the Banquet I was playing the DVD's of the days events. When I went in to pick up the DVD's they were MIA. They are Verbatim brand DVD-R, They are labled with permanant marker. Disk #2, Disk #3, VRW, VRW #2, 6 way speed Disk #1, 6way speed disk #2. And these are the only copys! These are the property of USPA and I need to get them back so I can make a copy for the USPA Judges. No Questions asked give them to a Skydive AZ staff or mail them to me Terry Schumacher 506 E. If you do you are asking for trouble. If you are in Florida leave your camera outside

Ok here is the deal on screw length. My name is Terry Schumacher and one thing I make is the Quick Shoe. I spend a lot of time sizing the Bolt Length to the assembly. You do want to use as close as 100% of the hole depth as possiable so the bolt has to be the exact length, or you risk stripping the camera thread which is a bugger to fix. My fix and something I do for 2 reasons is I use a Set Screw and a 1/4 x 20 Jam Nut. 1st the set screw can bottom out in your camera, 2nd you do not have to remove the set screw to remove your camera from your helmet thus preventing undo ware on the camera.

You may remove the RLS from any rig without violating the TSO. What the gripe is about is some people just pull it off the velcro and thats it. Wrong, you must do one of two things. either put a mat piece of velcro over the hook or remove the hook from the reserve riser. Failure to do either will result in an abrader reserve riser that will eventuly ground the rig

Who is Accountable? The other day I witnessed a cut away that the reserve looked very funny. After the jumper landed I relised that his Rigger forgot to attach one line (the outside right front on an Tempo reserve) to the riser. The jumper was mot injured but the reserve was hard to fly straight and impossable to flair. My question "is this noted in some Rigger lifetime history or something?

Just a note! Schumacher uses the Nylon 6-32 X .5 screw from Mcmaster Carr Part Number 91772A146 they cost $1.96 per humdred. Also to remove broken bolt: Use a small flat edge screw driver, heat the tip of the screw driver with a heat source (a match will work) push the screw driver into the Nylon bolt without turning it. You have created a slot for the screw driver. When this cools (several seconds) unscrew using the same now cool screw driver.
