I am a dental assistant and we do crowns all the time.. I make the temp. crowns. It is about an hour long process and not painful because you are numb. Heres the steps: 1. Build up tooth (if needed) 2.Take an impression (a copy of tooth to use for later) 3. Cuts margins into tooth (makes tooth smaller so room for a crown to fit) 4. Adds cord to push up gums 5. Takes a another impression to send to Lab that makes the real crown. 6. Take out cord. 7. Make a temporary using 1st impression 8. Use temporary cement and put the temporary crown on. 9. leave for 2 weeks 10. Deliver crown with permanent cement. Im stuck on that pay check to pay check thing too... it's cause I have this expensive hobbie thing that involves paying for a rig, canopy (paid), jumps, team, travel, beer (not paid), travel, jumps, jumps, jumps, beer (not paid), jumps... u get the idea.. haha! But umm ya i know the feeling! Eventually i wil be all caught up but then I will probably just start going to the tunnel more and jumping more and owing more beer. -------------------------- I don't believe that is inappropriate at all.. actually it's a good idea to let people know how chris is doing. It's only from my point of view though not from his. He seems to be a very strong person emotionally. He likes to try to do most things on his own but people offer to help, usually he goes ahead and takes the offer to save him time. He apprieciates everything. Awesome person to talk to. Recovery wise I don't think there is much difference other than he may be getting used to being in a wheel chair. He is still basically paralyzed from chest down with some movement of his hands. We all went out to the club the night before new years and he looked like he was having fun with us. He likes to get videos of himself doing cool things in his kick ass wheel chair. Andrea- thank you, KBONE Pmed me and asked more information about Chris and although he didn't say sorry..maybe the new information he got will give him a better understanding.. regardless it shouldn't matter who it was that paid for it, it should be anybody whether your in a wheelchair or deaf or blind or what's wrong with having nothing wrong... Its sad that people like KBONE have to have an explanation on how the person got in the wheel chair just to accept that it was a kind gesture..... Yea we had done it my senior year in high school... 2 years ago.... But see half of us had the wood bridge half of us had to you spagetti noodles (uncooked) obviously. I got the thrill of having spagetti noodles. It was a big mess of glue but it actually worked It took 2 whole weeks for me and my group of 4 to make. ---------------------------------------- KBONE-Who knows what she was doing at IHOP that was none of his concern... The fact is that she was on a machine that was helping her breathe and her husband was carrying it around and they were still "going out" together. Chris had even made a comment on how good it was to see a couple together still at that age and how they could still sit there and go out and eat breakfast together and laugh and have a good time. They probably have a ton of medical bills. Maybe when your all alone when your really old you will understand and I hope someone does a random act of kindness like this just so you can think back and remember what you were saying now. Either that or you could have a freak accident like Chris did and end up in a wheel chair and have the rest of your life to think about the "little things." That you are so ungrateful for now.... I sware I hope this never happens to you I am just simply showing a point. EVERYONE ELSE- Thanks for reading this story, I was hoping it wouldn't be a thread that just got skipped down the line. I am not going to see Chris and Nancy again for a while because I was just down there visiting and happend to meet them..but I hope that this gets back to them.

Yea I've heard of people doing that. But, I'd rather it not be at McDonalds...Just Kidding. Sarah is a natural, and did very well in the tunnel. She is planning on coming back down for the camp in February. -------------- Yes, Sarah is good... The best I have ever seen in the tunnel with absolutly no jumps or previous tunnel time. She did better then some people that have 30 plus jumps.. amazing! Im glad the wedding rocked! Wish I could have been there but at least I got to see you guys at the tunnel. Tell sarah we better see her at the tunnel campb/c that girl is gonna end up doing two ways the way she is going. Thanks for sharing it... It really is cool.. and if you don't know Chris or the sorty about chris then you should read some of the past post about his accident and how he ended up in a wheelchair.... He was an awesome FF and had a very unfortunate mistake happen to him. As he told me , "Life changes and things change all the time you just have to deal with it and get over it."
