  1. I think we are only staying the 26th - 29th. But the good news is that we have tunnel for two hours while we are there!!
  2. I'll second that. I think they are both amazing people!
  3. I have heard more than just a rumor. From a source in the know, there should be a twin otter there soon.
  4. The first cell phone virus has been reported . . . its not bad now, but imagine the havoc that this could cause in the future!! It is called Cabir and has been found in 12 countries already. And since you brought it up, it is actually spread using bluetooth as the connection . . .
  5. Cool. I was just trying to give you good advice, but some people seem to have chips on their shoulders (even when they are wrong)! All of us guys will go gather our testosterone and piss someplace else! I will start by deleting my last two posts. All I have to say is - if ignorance is bliss, that explains why there seems to be a few excessively 'happy with themselves' people in this thread! Actually, why don't we all just save the testosterone for the weekend and go jump out of a plane or something!
  6. Come on man, let's get real for a second. Find me a cheap part for any MP3 player on the market, and I will show you the same priced part for the Ipod. Yes, and I believe that I corrected the both of you!
  7. Anyways, here is the ultimate MP3 player, but you've gotta really know what you are doing to own this one (i.e., this one is made for us dorks). http://www.archos.com/products/prw_500595_specs.html
  8. I use one main one accessory - the interface into my car stereo cd changer controller. No other MP3 player out there can do that right now. All the others need an FM Modulator, which reduces sound quality to that of any standard radio (plus you can't control the MP3 player from your stereo interface like I can). This is the entire reason I even bought an MP3 player, so it was a critical factor to me. Trust me, I did my homework. Oh, and I was wrong, I paid LESS than the cost of the 20GB Nomad for my 40GB Ipod Photo. So why would I want to pay more for the 40GB version of that one that you are now looking at when I can add an FM tuner on to the Ipod for less than the total cost of the other one, and I still have the flexibility of those other optional parts. Not to mention firewire transfer. Just wait until you want to transfer 10+ GB of data and it takes you 6 hours to do it. With firewire, you can do that in 20 minutes. Two other points: 1. MANY manufacturers make parts for the Ipod, so you can buy generic if you want. 2. You can use whatever music format and download software that you want with the IPOD too. Do your own research before you just believe every post that people put up here. The only arguement that you can make against the Ipod is that it doesn't have a user replaceable battery, but from what I saw, no one here made that statement.
  9. I just bought a 40 Gig IPOD photo with docking station and carrying case for the same price as that iRiver. I would rather have the extra 20 Gig of space over the fm tuner and voice recorder. I am interfacing mine with my car stereo so that I can control it through the cd-changer controls. Then instead of a 10 disc changer I will have up to 20,000 songs at my disposal at real stereo quality (no fm modulator here). The thing that puts IPODS over the top is available accessories. I hate jumping on the bandwagon, but they can't be beat in this category.
  10. That's not true. I have 5 friends with IPODS that play any mp3's they want, and one of them uses his as an external HD too. You just don't know how. That doesn't mean other people don't! ;-) If you own an IPOD and care to learn how, I can find out how they did it. PM me if you want me to check on it.
  11. Hey Josh, Do you want me to bring you the patch when I come back this weekend? I get it literally for 1/2 price ($23 per box) at work. Not sure how many cigs you smoke a day, but a full cycle will be 4 or 5 boxes. This stuff works, bigtime. I have already gotten cycles for two friends, and they have both been off the cancer stick for over 1 year each. Call me if you are interested! Bali
  12. Sounds fun! You know Brad and I will be there.
  13. That's cuz the more pure the alcohol the longer it takes to absorb into your system. Trying taking some hard liquor and then chug a glass of water afterwards . . .
  14. I had the exact same situation this weekend, but it was a line over. Oh well, at least it was NOT my first pack job.
