I think it's where you face off holding mudflaps, and then one person wraps their legs around the other's waist. ???

HD exits are also good for kisses. :D

Yep, thats it. (Sorry, that pesky thing called work got in the way of my posting.:D)
Ya, the top person has their legs around the others waist so they are essentially sitting in their lap, face-to-face, up close and personal. (Or you can do it back-to-face.)

    So how 'bout the kiss?

  4. Ok, so Kele's poll got me wondering...

If you have done a porn star exit, did you get/give a kiss pass with that? Is that expected/obligatory?

I would think in that position the urge to plant one on the other person would be too great to resist. B|

  5. Happy Birthday!! :)
I'm so sorry this tragedy happened, and so close to your birthday. But I do hope that you will have a wonderful and beautiful experience on your next tandem so that you can experience the pure joy and love of this sport.

Your courage is amazing. I'm wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery.

And here's another open invitation to come down to Skydive Chicago and I'll gladly buy you a tandem there. :)

  6. We did it!! B| It was a blast, and made for a great video.

I held the head and I had 3 people trying to put pieces in. 2 people made it, and the eyes stayed in all the way down!

If anyone needs an idea for their 100th, I highly recommend this. It was really fun and you get lots of confused looks when you load the plane holding the empty potato head. :D

Thanks everybody who gave me advice and who was on it with me! :)

What an awesome time at Summerfest!!:)
First off -- I'm not a 2-digit midgit anymore, yea!!!!! B| I had a blast doing a Mr Potato Head for my 100th. We got 2 pieces in and I landed with 1 still in! Got a great video of it, too, thanks Brad! :)
Then I also did my beer cross-country. Man, it was beautiful up there! And my legs didn't get sore or fall asleep. It was a full load and a gorgeous sunset -- what a way to end the day. :)
Then I also got to jump with a Golden Knight! Tom Falzone is the MAN!! He told us a few things to focus on, and then all of a sudden we're turning 10 points!! And I was screaming across the sky in a killer track!! It was so sweet. B|

Yep, good times, good friends and great dives. Summerfest rocks. B|

Edited to add one more beer for my first Casa jump!

I'm going to attempt a Mr Potato Head for my 100th. We'll see how it turns out...

. . . oh do fill me in . . . is it what it sounds like ?? Are you actually putting together a Mr.Potato Head in freefall??

Yep, thats the idea. Easier said than done, but we should have a blast trying. :)

  9. Thanks for the tips! Building the line first and then going to a round sounds like a good plan. Did you have her holding the head because you figured that would be easier? I'm thinking maybe I'd want a very good stable flyer for the base since they will have to hold onto that thing as well as stay stable while people are crashing into them. (Knowing me I'd drop it! :S)
And it sounds like she got rid of it at pull time? Any way an experienced jumper could keep it?

So did you guys get all the pieces in before pull time?

    Thanks!

  10. Hi,

I'm thinking I'd like to attempt a Mr Potato Head for my 100th. I was thinking it could be a 6-way or 8-way. But I'm just wondering the best way to go about it. Is one person the base and they hold the head, and then the others come in and put pieces? And then what do they do after they've put their piece? Just lurk, or dock on the base? And then can the base person land with the head or do you ditch it?

I have heard about doing this since last year and it sounds like a blast. B| Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

If I'm wearing gloves, I'll usually wear the rings. But a vast majority of the time, it's off. I don't like packing with my rings on either. The engagement ring, even though it's small, snags too easily. So the rings are off basically call summer.

Yep, same here. I just don't want to have to worry about it, so it stays at home when I'm at the dz. (Whether I wear gloves or not.)

  12. This weekend on the plane I noticed several guys who had on wedding bands. I have never worn my wedding ring while jumping because it's an expensive diamond and I don't want to risk it coming off and/or catching something/someone in freefall. (Not to mention I don't want to thrash it while packing.)

I was just curious if any women wear their diamond rings? If you just have a band, do you wear that? (guys or ladies) I saw some pretty nice diamond bands on some hands. I think I'd be paranoid about losing it/trashing it so I still wouldn't wear that if I had one.

Just curious about people who do.

Fabulous weekend at Skydive Chicago...cause it's the best DZ ever!! Finally did a jump with Jeth which was major fun. Hanging out with good friends and decorating people's lockers was good too. Ah, summerfest is next weekend and i can't wait!! :)

It was major major fun, thanks Sunny!! :)

I had a ton of fun this weekend! B| I got to just goof off in the sky with some new jump buddies. It was a nice change from doing all these challenging 6-ways where I gotta remember the dive flow, get to my slot, and try not to funnel the exit.

Beer owed for my first kiss-pass AND first jump with Sunshine!! Also my first hybrid (woo-hoo, we had that thing spinnin!!:D), and first teacup exit (attempt). Lotsa fun tryin out a little freeflyin, I think I'm gonna have to do more of that in the future. B|

Thanks to Heather and Tracey for the sweet jumps! :)
Only 5 more to go to 100, yeah baby!! B|

5 sweet jumps on Saturday, woo-hoo!! B| Finally after a month of crappy weekend weather, I got back in the air.

Did 4 5-ways and 1 6-way. I have no idea why, but for some reason instead of being floaty as I have in the past, I was the one dropping out after the first point. :S But I got some good tips and held my position on the last one! B| (That is until Steve slid under me...)

Beer owed for my 1st (and 2nd) ride in a Caravan. Can't say I like the longer climb to altitude, but it was kinda nice to be sitting on benches instead of the floor.

Shout out to Sara, thanks for the ride out there and some fun dives! :)

Damn weather! >:( I rented a car, booked a hotel, and put the dogs in the kennel in hopes of getting in a bunch of jumps this weekend with the SDC Furies. What I got was 2 LONG days of sitting around waiting for the rain to stop and the clouds to go away. It never happened. :(

But all was not lost cuz I did get some great advice and info from Tom Falzone from the GKs. Too bad I didn't get to jump with him, but I will at Summerfest!! And at least my husband was there with me so I got laid. ;)
