  1. Kwame not firing Omarossa could lead to his being fired altogether. When Trump reviews the tapes, and sees that Kwame knows something is amiss, he'll drop him. What kind of CEO just rolls over like that? Kwame should have givin Omarossa the wrist snap "your fired" and made Apprentice history. My vote turned to Bill when I saw that passive move.
  2. I'd count your static line jumps. You probably did more training had more interesting landings than your jumps today. You earned um. And as far as the USPA is concerned, the SL's count, so log um! I did one SL jump to help another SLJM get his rating years and years ago, and I log it. And that was just a normal SL jump, not a military SL jump which is much more intensive and a better story.
  3. Speaking of being more intellectual: A Meteor is just a flash of light. A Meteoroid is a rock in space. A Meteorite is a rock on the ground (any planet) Saying that it will be 8 million years before a large meteoroid hits Earth is pretty ignorant. Every rock that has come close to earth has been detected AFTER it passes us by; trying to detect a rock on a collision course to Earth is virtually impossible…..now, unlike what we learn in the movies, which is where most people get their education. I know I became a much better skydiver after watching Drop Zone. Back to rocks, Earth gets hit by small rocks all the time, it gets hit by medium rocks more than you’d think, and we get hit by large rocks approx once in a lifetime. The last rock that probably would have destroyed life on this planet came to Earth in the early 20th century over Siberia (I forget the exact location, tip of my tongue). For some damn reason it exploded a few miles above the ground. So instead of wiping out life, it just destroyed a big part of the forest, 50 miles wide I believe. The biggie the came before that is believed to have taken out the dinos. Learn more cool crap at http://www.nasa.gov
  4. You'll get it every year...toss it in the same pile as the Hertz "Discount" rent a car card. Wait...do they still give that Hertz card with membership...can't quite recall
  5. like anything else in life you just need to work harder. 2 hours to pack is nutzy, but we can all feel for the old 'placing said parachute in said bag' syndrome. find a packer that can give you tips on how to get it in there. it can be done easily with a brand new 0P-PD with the right instruction...you can do it...you can do it allll night long!!!
  6. Unless you have too pay for a packer (i.e. worker bee's that must be on the next load), your just a slacker. Slackers should be charged double.
  7. Page 49 Anyone figure out the difference between having "membership revoked for life", and being "banned from USPA membership for life?" You'd think they'd get their terminology right, or consistant! For the grand prize, who can spot the scapegoat of the nine contestents? LOL
  8. Something about a "Para-Performance Ambulance Tour"
  9. Tune in for more TEMP TALK BACK right here at Suggestions and Feedback!!!
  10. Look, if you want more altitude, you have to flash the pilot right...just apply that here girls. If you really want talkback back, start sending your photos. I'll review them first [email protected] LOL
  11. those 5 people that actually pay would get bored of each other fast. LOL
  12. some canopies are laser cut, others are stacked and hot knifed...how sad, we've come this far and no equality amunst the nylon ... tisk tisk
  13. the price of a 1.4 to a 2.8 is MASSIVE, and totally not worth it. You have enough sunlight out there, why set your camera up to have a crappier depth of view???
  14. Skydance Skydiving in Davis CA did (does?). But the Video man can edit it if they bring their own equipment.
  15. The CAMERA, the CAMCORDER, and even the STROBOFRAME were NOT made for skydiving. We all take the risk of loosing equipment in numerous situations. Grin and bare it baby!
  16. Ever notice how some people bitch about certain canopies and some think they are the greatest. It happens with ALL canopies. Yes, you will find a person complain that their Spectre opens like dogshit. Same for cars, same for parachutes If a person is cuttin and assembling a canopy on Monday they are busy thinking about their past weekend. This is the second worst day a canopy can be built, the workers are trying to get back in the routine of things. Mind is out there. Tuesday and thursday are second best. They are in the upswing or slight downswing of the week, their mind is on the game. Probably get whats advertized, but relining will be a must. Wednesday canopies are the best. Prime shit man. Built to perfection, and probably can go well past their relines. They probably will survive the test of time. Friday canopies...u fucked. These could be the best chutes in the world but unfortunately all the worker bees are thinking of the weekend and probably sewing their fingers to clothes at this point. If you bought a shitty canopy, IT'S A FRIDAY CANOPY!!! Then again, some parachutes just suck ass!
  17. This should be mentioned. Everyone cares too much. I say fuck um. You won't stop a person taking that 'extra' line of coke, or bumping up to a 1200cc, 3 days after getting their motorcycle permit. Preach and preach all you want, these people can't be motovated to go back...it's human nature bro! The best you can do is keep your camcorder and stills ready, you may make some money with Real TV or rotten.com!!! (oh, and let your jumper be aware of the true meaning of your digital setup in the landing area...thats honesty in it's greatest light...still won't change them though)
  18. The helmet issue can get tossed all over, but I haven't found any educated findings. But I will offer my own education that everyone can do in the privacy of their own home. 1st, put on your helmet, place your head in the doorway, then close the door on your head. do it lightly, do it medium, then do it hard. then repeat without the helmet. OHHHH think it's just the edge thing. ok, lets try blunt trama. put on that helmet, fall forward, head bent forward, in the driveway and don't use your arms to catch yourself. repeat without helmet have friend with helmet ram into your head with helmet. then do it without. STILL THINK SO??? Afraid to try these tests? Den you just talkin shit baby.
  19. For Strong TM's there isn't even a fuckin question about it.
  20. went freeflying headdown with a tandem attached, i'll post the video when the TM permanately retires
  21. How fast does it work? Fast enough to make load calls? How sensitive is the equipment in dusty desert conditions? Just asking, this sounds great, I hope they make a real utilitarian version to withstand the brutality of most video/photographers.
  22. Haven't been jumping that long...ei??? Once you've been around the block a few times (awww hell, just once) the light will click...swear!!
  23. Wonder what the Anit-cypress people have to say about this one. I'm sure we'll be steppin in it soon.
  24. I've found with all the Stiletto's i've owned in my career (150,135,120,97), no matter how much I think I knew about packing, and how much I applied other techniques from other manufacturers, I've found that if you listen to PD and do what they say you'll be fine. Use rubber bands in stead of tubies (took me a long time to break that habit) DON'T roll the nose, just let it hang or center it inline with the lines. Wrappy the tail, but not too much. Reliner within specifications. Keep it spectramation, don't vectronize. Don't tea bag your canopy at night.
