Yeah, y'all -- take it in. This is the "compassionate" Amazon who likes to sit on a high horse and condescend to anyone she thinks is a nazi conservative and ridicule their claim to being compassionate. This is the humanist who doesn't hate other people just because she disagrees with them politically. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

When did I ever say this in SC?: Sorry, you went way over the line. If I'd ever said 1/16 of that I would have been bounced right out of here, so your claiming that I am just "getting what I gave" is fifteen pounds of bullshit stuffed into a five pound bag. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Showing what you're really like when someone's not going to ban you for saying it? Apparently so. IF we were going to post the PMs here, people would see just how OFF the hook you went, and how far more reserved I was in "attacking" you. You really don't want to go there. You made yourself look really bad. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Spoken like the true compassionate conservative.... So then you favor: - rebuilding, at great expense, a city right where the next flood will destroy it all over again - handing out half a million dollars to every man, woman and child in that city, taken from everyone else who is smart enough to not build their house in the way of billions of tons of water - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... well, if it's just about cost, executions have been shown to be more expensive. I think that's only because we allow a staggeringly unreasonable amount of appealing -- even "automatic appeals" when there is zero reason to suspect the court has made any error! If we took it seriously, and actually put the faith into the justice system that is supposed to be implicit, we wouldn't be second-guessing things and making "execution" cost a fortune. (It's not really the execution that costs, it's the bullshit appeals.) Oh, and if you're worried about putting the wrong person to death, make faking evidence, tampering with witnesses, withholding evidence, planting evidence, or any other type of defrauding a trial, a capital offense as well. As in, if the prosecutor pulls bullshit shenanigans, he stands to be executed, himself. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Um, is every man woman and child going to have to spend $516,528 on a house of his/her own? If one person per household with an average of mom, dad, and two kids spent even $300,000 on a new home, that would leave over a million and a half dollars that family could contribute toward building the roads and erecting the powerlines, etc. Just why would you claim that $516,528 for every living human being in a city would not be enough to get that city on its feet again? I noticed you were concerned about "flood protection." The best "flood protection" I can think of would be to not build the motherfucking city below SEA LEVEL again! We have about .3 BILLION guns in the U.S. Even if each of those offenses were committed by a separate person with a separate gun, that is still a vanishingly small percentage. Do the math: 347,705 divided by 300,000,000 = 0.00115901, or one tenth of one percent. Six years after a ban on guns, and you had 10,340 firearms offenses?! How is that? Are you forced to admit that there is a problem with criminals owning guns in an island country where they are banned, and where even the lawful owners of guns were never protected against police intrusion to check on the guns' status? It might give those who would be victims a better shot at fighting back againt their attackers, possibly helping reduce the number of extant attackers who may continue to prey on the population at large. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... *click* Nothing worth reading could possibly ever come from you henceforth. I hope someone ends up explaining to you just how absurdly stupid it was for you to say that. But I can't be bothered to. I consider it a waste of air. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Because the first one may not be working. Hey, the laws against murder, and speeding, are also not working very well. I think it's time to pass a second law to make murder illegal, and a second law to make speeding illegal. What is it -- please articulate it -- about this proposed law (the text of which I highly doubt you have familiarized yourself with, nor have I) that you think is meant to address some inadequacy in the law that already forbids shooting and killing a person who presents a lethal threat? I get the sense that this proposal seeks to criminalize the totally justifiable policy of shooting to stop, which in the interest of perserving innocent civilian or police lives is usually done in a manner that could well end up being lethal. It is not about "making sure that cops don't shoot to kill when they could apprehend a suspect without shooting at all" -- it seems to be about forcing cops to attempt nonlethal measures even when they are 100% justified just because some asshole legislator from Harlem thinks the life of a violent criminal is no less worthy than the lives of good people and cops. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... OMG, on just what statistics do you base this totally heuristic-seeming statement?? That's true, and you will agree with us that NOWHERE is a cop actually statutorily justified in shooting such a person, thus producing a need for this proposed law. At least in the U.S. (can't really speak for Germany ... ) it has NEVER been the case that the police are supposed to do anything but attempt to apprehend wrongdoers for trial, and IF there is outright danger from the suspects, the police are empowered and (can't speak for England ...) equipped to eliminate a threat if it cannot be defused. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... The funny thing is, I would hardly qualify for "reich wing" even though in your little hate-fantasy I am next to Hitler in my ideology. LOL! You know nothing about me but you hate me like as if I raped and killed your baby sister. Amazing. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Ever-diminishing? They're ever under attack, but in the last two decades, we've seen 38 states out of 50 go "pro-right-to-carry." Too bad for your side. I use my brains to stay out of situations in which I would have to use my gun, but it is there, and I am competent to use it, should I ever have to. I do it based on issues. YOU do it based, obviously, on personalities and opinions. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

It's funny, 'cause when they see what absolutely inhuman vitriol you spewed at me, they'll have a very different view of you. Or maybe they won't; maybe they already understood you to be that kind of person. Nothing I sent you in PM (which YOU started on, not me) is anything like what you sent me. And then you had the nerve to say that my posts show my "true self" or some bullshit like that. What do your PMs say about you? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

Well, you picture a little much. But yeah, when I observe such wrong-headed policy forced onto the lives of civilians and then I observe how it doesn't do any good for that society, I enjoy pointing it out, in the hopes of winning converts to the better way of thinking. That's wrong? Doesn't everyone do that? The more that goes wrong in a society or a locality where guns are banned and the gun ban does not accomplish any positive benefits, the more "ammunition" there is for pro-gun people to use to show how bad gun bans are. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

And they say MY polls are biased...

Nonsense. No-one is forced to take part in a CNN poll. OH jesus fucking christ when are you ever going to actually comprehend a point? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" -

Yes. Careful, or they're gonna start saying, "Narcimund's posts never address the fucking point!" - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
