I didn't even notice the plane till maybe jump 16 or so. . .I just kept pretending I was "swan diving" out of the otter. . .lol. It made me hold stable. Don't know why but it worked. . .and forget the damned relax statement. . .I didn't relax till about jump 16 when I was standing in the door checking the spot and realized I really wasn't scared anymore. . .lol.

The cool thing about doing it all at once is that you don't "forget" what you learned and have to start all over. . .the bad is that if you fail an AFF level it could affect your brain a little bit and make it difficult to get going again. . .I love being able to just jump and jump and jump but remember that skydiving is physical and it will take more out of you than you realize. You can plan on trying to do it but don't beat yourself up if it doesn't happen. . .

Hey folks out there, just a reminder that this weekend is Bridge the Gap at Skydive Elsinore. This is a boogie/seminar geared towards newer jumpers and those looking to hook up with others for skydives. Lots of great information and free coaching in RW and Freeflying. Take advantage if you can. It is definitely worth it.

Skydive San Diego is a great place to jump but if you are planning on jumping midweek, Perris or Elsinore would be the better choice as there are more planes in the air at those two dzs.

Yep, I get those days too. I am going through a period of that right now. even shopping didn't help. I'll get over it I know, but for now I just have to continue on as if. . .

Hot: Great People, great planes, great fun, lots of people to fly with, great party atmosphere in the evenings, awesome video at evening parties, another great DZ within 15-20 minutes of it, tunnel at other DZ. . .

Not so Hot: Dust Devils. . .and funky winds. . .

I still do not have an audible alti. I have borrowed and used on occasion but most of the time prefer to jump without. I have gotten VERY good at knowing when I need to break off, track and pull just by looking at the ground. . .when I verify with my alti, I am right on. That being said, if I was jumping serious 4-way or freeflying, I believe I would want an audible. It is too easy to get caught up in what you are doing and forget to check. . .jmho. . .

I know all of the above.. .but I LOVED fractured fairy tales. . .my favorite.
