Kel, do a PM for serious answers here. . .lol. It doesn't matter if it feels like lies. The truth is, your heart is in the right place. It doesn't even matter if your ideas are grandiose. . .what does matter is that your grammar and spelling are impeccable and you can support your one page essay with some great examples. The reason they want you to write an essay is because they REALLY want to know if you can write. And nursing is all about patient advocacy. I will be graduating in December and what I have learned is I HAVE to be the advocate for my patient because the docs just write scrips. . .sometimes they don't even think about what they do when they write. . .and it doesn't matter the discipline you choose to go in to. I love Labor and Delivery, Cancer and Cardiology. . .but my ultimate choice is to be the strongest patient advocate I can. Spent my lunch break in a Code Blue trying to rescusitate an old guy dying of kidney failure. He coded twice during my lunch break and still survived. Of course I work nights so when you were out walking along the beach I was sleeping. Lisamarie, Insist that they have the IV start team do your IV whenever you need one. They usually have a nurse who can use a lidocaine wheal first before actually starting the IV. Also insist that they start them on long bones. That way they don't infiltrate as readily as others (no bendable parts to get in the way). If the nurse cannot palpate a proper vein, do not let her start an IV in you. Here is my humble, unbiased opinion. I think DZ #2 should call DZ #1 and offer assistance, maybe even aircraft if available, and in return ask for assistance from DZ #1 in the future on a future boogie. That way it is a win win situation for both DZs. . . There are a limited number of jumpers to go around and in this day and age we need to support each other. This only helps our small business known as skydiving. . . PS. I could be wrong so DZOs can correct me here if they want to but as I understand it DZs generally do not make huge profits from boogies. They are done as promotional events to get people to jump regularly at their DZ. Skydive san diego. . .I cannot speak for about jumping because I never have jumped there. In less than an hour's drive you can be at Skydive Elsinore or Skydive Perris. Elsinore has the best view in my opinion and a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Skydive Perris is a very large and very business dropzone. Either one will offer you world class instructors and great amenities. Not really an issue. . .I was expecting it sooner or later but the real issue is now I am in the middle of nursing school and my son does not want to stay with his dad so he wants to move with me when I move. If it was just me, I would move into a shared situation till I graduate, but I will NEVER deny my son (13) his wish. Since Rhondalee got to whine about moving, I thought I would do the same. . .
