If you came here and said i've been on my 150 for 100 jumps and have really took it to the limits and think I'm ready to move down is there anything I am missing before making the move? Everything would have been different but no that's not what you did.

The size of your rig should have ZERO to do with your decision to downsize. The size of your rig unless your wearing a tandem rig has nothing to do with you freeflying. These are the reasons not drama not douchebaggery or any other excuse you want to look for to not take responsibility and if you cant take responsibility for something as simple as that I think i'll go back to my original BB square..

Very thought out response but you missed it completely as to why they link Sanji. The story IS the same as are the countless others. I don't have the photographic memory of shotgun so I don't remember the dead unless they touched my life but please do not think you are different then any of them because your not. That's what got them dead or in a wheelchair..think they were DIFFERENT...well now they really are different then everyone else they aren't breathing anymore. Paid $800 for the whole rig. Would probably have put another 2-400 on it if my rigger wouldn't have said he wasn't going to repack it anymore since it was over 25 years old. Please do no let buying a rig have ANY factor in your decision if you do please let us know where you jump so I can pick my bounce bingo slots. Blueskies are so much better then Black Death...

I kept a couple from the last run you did for us on DZ.com just in case you didn't make more :) My order had got lost in the mail and Guy sent out another order asap no questions asked. the first ordered showed up a month or so later so I emailed and made sure to get him paid. It is great to know there are people like Guy left in the world :)

I didn't say that. I said that's how it is. If the DZ owner wants something different they need to become a GM or the skydiver wants something different then they need to go to a GM DZ.

If you want to get rid of the GM program then come up with a better program. Me I am content with how things are. Doesn't mean I agree or disagree at least not to the point that I am going to bitch about any perceived wrongs that I am NOT prepared to offer a sound fix to whatever it is I decide to bitch about.

As for non GM DZ's they don't get a say. If they want a say then they need to sign up and pay their dues. I don't think heard Mike or Bill complain about not getting the perks the GM's get. Pretty sure they are very content NOT being GM's

No the dropzone has chosen not to be a group member so they should not get free advertising. The member (you) are mentioned. I am sure Mike has no problem with this as he sits on the board. He chose, for his own reasons, not to be a GM and being mentioned in Parachutist isn't a reason for him to change.

USPA for whatever reason decided to set up the GM program. It is what we now have and it isn't going away. If you want it to go away you need to sign up and show up and step up., If it goes away then lots of other things follow so that revenue will need to be replaced so before starting a war to remove it you will need to have something to replace it.

Non-GM DZ's choose not to part of the USPA and that's fine they don't have to be but they also cannot expect to reap the benefits of being part of the USPA. They do not get to have their cake and eat it too. If you are missing out on anything tell them to step up or take your money elsewhere.

I have 300ish on a sabre 1 230 200+ on a sabre2 230 300+ on a sabre2 210 50+ on a sabre 2 190 The 190 spanked me several times once in Perris so bad I thought I was paralyzed. Jon LeBlanc had even checked it out on the ground before that and didn't see anything wrong with it. Could have been packing error or me being a fat ass who knows. I demoed a Pilot 188 and fell in love and sold the Sabre's and bought 2 new pilots(never has any of the 3 pilots I owned spanked me).

The sabre 230 and 210 where great wings and loved them the 190 was great to fly just couldn't trust it any longer but the pilot is a dream.

I am 280ish out the door so I am loading the pilot pretty decent but even when I was 260is out the door it gave this old guy all he wanted when he wanted or landed me as soft as I wanted.

If I was 10 years younger and 20lbs lighter id get a Nitron 170 Damn that is FUN canopy. Only jumped it a couple of times while both my rigs needed a repack but man if I wasn't an old fat man...

Anyway the moral is JUMP a lot of canopies. Most manufactures have demo canopies. Some will be brand new some will have a few jumps on them but they will give you a better idea of what YOU want to fly.

While this issue is a HUGE stumbling block for him I am sure it doesn't define him. Charlie WHY should we vote for you? If this isn't why your running then why are you running and what would you hope to accomplish if you were elected?

Not to contradict your instructors, but the general point of (a) low hop & pop(s) as part of training for AFF students is for at least one such exit to be un-poised, to simulate the conditions of an emergency exit.

I understand and If I were given a preference for exit. It would be a dive, chest and pelvis to prop. But I don't think it would have made a difference on the first 2 screw ups. I simply went completely wacky. didn't read the rest of the replies yet but I felt I had to correct you. You did not screw them up. If you did you would be dead. You deployed your parachute and landed safe. That's a successful skydive bro.

I am with Spot on this one. Charlie your decision to try and change the rules to suit YOU leave your decision making suspect. I, like Spot, cannot fathom why you would go to the lengths you have for someone that has proved they cannot be trusted with the publics safety.

The only reason that made any sense to me was you needed him because for some reason you couldn't find another capable TI. That does not show your capable of making the RIGHT choice instead of the choice that benefits you.

There are consequences to ones actions. The TI knew this and made the choice anyway. His choice effected your business and you got mad and tried to change the rule so you were not effected by his choices. You lost so now your trying to extract some sort of revenge from the inside.

This is how it looks to me. I could be totally wrong, wouldn't be the first time, but I would be willing to bet you are not running out of the goodness of your heart but because your ego doesn't like loosing and have anyone telling you what you can or cant do.That is NOT qualities that we need on the BOD. We need people that can make the HARD and RIGHT choices and you have already proved you can't do that.
