get elected.  change the rules to accumulate power and to stay in power.  your supporters assist you and do not stand in the way, even actively help make that happen.  (Project 2025 is that plan).  The fence-sitters complain but fail to act or wait until it is too late.  Many people assume the checks and balances will work, but the people that run those checks balances are replaced by loyalists.  Each step is an erosion of the democracy and eventually there is nothing to stop the authoritarian from ruling.

    Nothing specifically 'Nazi' about it.

Word meanings morph over time, like awful for example. Nazi, now, apparently has a broader definition, like asshole for example.

They believe that Biden is too supportive of Israel. Forgetting that Trump approved the move of the US embassy to Jerusalem. Trump loves Netanyahu and he authorized US support of the expansion of Jewish settlements in the west bank

They have a poor understanding of US policy.

And we have a poor understanding of what is driving our future. Nature can not be contained by rules and boundaries. Humans are a part of nature and just like the zebra mussels infesting the Great Lakes and the Asian Carps in the rivers they will find a way to new places and change the environment to the chagrin of all who can not accept change. If you want to see America in 100 years just look around today.

OK  I wonder how much time she spent training her dog before she took him into the field. Did she take him to a school, to a dog trainer? At 14 months that would have been its very first time in the field.

Then for her to admit she "hated" the 14 month old dog that still would have had weight to gain. Still needed time to fully mature. It all shows a callousness, an inner cruelty and lack of understanding of a dogs developmental needs. Ninety nine percent of dog owners that were out to get a pure hunting dog. Would have adopted it out after two full seasons if it showed no promise or abilities. Another family could have had a wonderful pet.

She's probably a good fit for a Trump VP.

Dogs that kill chickens, especially the neighbors chickens, are often put down out in nowhere. The idea is that just once can not be trained out of them. But they are usually not hunting dogs. I've trained only one dog to hunt. Granted it was a combo thing, both water and upland, but you need to put a lot of personal time into it to where you don't let it screw up and you don't let non hunters toss a ball or frisbee for it to get. 14 months is young and learning. You want that energy for the mission but they're still kids and want to skylark all they can, and will, until you clamp down. But that's the initiative you look for and that's what will get them to dive after a goose or burrow through berries to flush a pheasant or grouse. Killing that dog was just her saying she has no clue about hunting dogs and is a callous idiot. For those reasons I think she made up the story just to sound red country and tough for Trump.

Given the record and makeup of the current SCOTUS I would think that a change toward favouring more blatant governmental support for mainline religions is inevitable. It is already occurring on several fronts, especially support for parochial schools.

Get ready for a lot more Jesus.

Ya know professor. I really don't care. There is a greater majority in this country that feel there should be some scientific datapoint where we all acknowledge that after that point - terminating a child is killing it.

You addressed the question of one day before delivery by screeching the woman's rights; but you never really said if you were ok with it or not. So, how about you address that question or is it too "icky" for you?

Late term abortions done for shits and giggles do not happen so going there is going nowhere. Nor is the decision made by a back room coin toss. I can hardly think of a more serious, weighty, and difficult decision to be made. As such, it must be made without any interference by any organization and only by the woman and her doctors. What that means is that I would always err on the side of the chance for abortions being made in error or owing to bad medical advice and not at all owing to some arbitrary point in time you and I agreed upon for what can only be seen as specious reasons.

Actually yes Joe.  Other than you, me and Wendy, everyone else here is a bot, publishing material to control the direction of the future of America.

Wonder why Trump exists, or how Musk got the Falcon 9 working, or why Bud Light is being boycotted?  Wonder why that Dos Equis guy is the most interesting guy in the world?  It's all us.

I just knew I'd make something of myself someday. Thank you.

This judge isn't stupid. Everybody knows $1000 is a joke and a shot across the bow. The next step likely next week will be a $10,000 fine. Everyone knows that trump will also treat $10k as a joke. The reading of the riot act to trump will also likely have little effect.

    So;

I think $1000 is the maximum per gaggle.

Joe - I don't follow them either. The ones I see are on the daily local and national news. Typical, "the border is secure", type things. A quick search shows plenty written about by various media sources.

I get it, you work for the ones that hired you. They have direction they're going and it's her job. Yeah for loyality.

Then in all fairness your post was unsupported slander based on political leanings and not facts or personal knowledge. Might I suggest a retraction?

Cause, ya know - not all men can be trusted to do the right thing.

You mean, for example, banning abortions after a "fetal heartbeat" standard? Or negotiating with other men another but more middle ground standard? But in every case taking a degree of autonomy from a women to make their own health care decisions in accordance with their own beliefs? Yes, that would be icky, for sure.

Well, 84% of the world view is not a minority.

But, let's stick with the science for awhile. It sounds like you're not good with the 12th week either. At 13 weeks, the fetus's organs, including the liver and pancreas, are starting to function, and the fetus can move its arms and legs, suck its thumb, and form a fist. The fetus's bones are also beginning to harden, especially in the skull and long bones.

So, you good with drawing the line in the sand at week 13?

Locally, it's Christians who are causing the troubles. In India the Hindi position was aborted in 1971 and there are basically no limits, Jews don't seem to care, Muslims are mostly focused on ensoulment at 4 months, not much news from the unaffiliated.

Ok. So after the embryonic stage, the fetal stage begins at week 11. You good with organs + heartbeat + fetus at week 11 or 12?

All laws are based on some view. Including murder.

Yes, but with a good dollop of fairness to all  parties. The anti-abortion position is adverse to over half of humanity and based on religious views shared by a minority.

OK. So, let's say you want to encompass all of these factors which is the embryonic stage which generally runs from the 5th to 10th week. So, all of these organs + heartbeat = life.  You good with that?

Me, no. However, I do like it that you've modified an untenable standard. But the course of the life an individual, or their family, shouldn't be negotiated over like a rug in an Arab souk. That is none of you business and that is the point. Whatever belief system you rely on to make these judgements, even with evolving concessions, is bunk and imposing those views on anyone is wrong.
