Hi every one... I want to say thank you, thank you for all the kind things that you all have to say about both Sara and Ron... These have bin the hardest days of my life... In a split second my life changed for ever.... thank you all for you support, and I just want to say that it does help...Thank you...I stopped posting cause I just couldn't deal with it anymore.... This will be my last post....It's all I have just to do this... There will Be a Memorial for Sara Sunday night 6:00 p.m Living Hope worship center Center SQ. RD. They were both Swooping and both landing into the wind.... Bad luck...thats what it was all about.... A second diffrence and everything would have bin diffrent.... For those who asked....Sara was doing a 180 turn, and had completed the tiurn and was on final... under a canopy that was flying strait and had completed the turn... Ron was doing a 270 turn, landing into the wind... The swoops coincided...when ron was completing his turn his body struck her canopy and that was it.... No one fault...they both missed each other and had a hole lot of bad luck on timing.... They were not going for gated or anything like that...just swooping... We were all training together....for nationals, Freeflying...Me and Ron were doing stuff while Sara coverd for my fuck ups and made us look good... I think that the thing we should take from this is: Know who is in the sky with you....if there are other swoopers in the air, find them before you swoop, know where everyone is....and if you can't find them all, don't swoop! The incident Involved 2 Skydivers....My best friends... They were both very very experienced... coming in to land they had a canopy collision, around 150-200 feet off the ground... it didnt clear...they both hit the ground. Sorry if this isnt as clear as it should be, I just lost my best friends in the world.... 5-10 seconds after impact we were at the scene and doing CPR....they were dead on impact... the medics got there and declared them dead.... Sara Had 1500 jumps and was jumping daily... She was also a Tandem Instructor a rigger and a coach... Ron had 2100 jumps and also was jumping daily... Please....Please....dont post if you dont know....Don't speculate, don't come up with ideas on what happend... I saw it happen...I know.... I would love to join you this time but I can't leave the most wonderfull place in the world...Cross Keys... In the summer time there is no place I would rather be....so if you want me..your gonna have to come here....another reason to look for cheap tickets....ME! We have it all here, from planes to choppers to choaching to everything.... So I really think that its worth your while....even if the airline tickets are a bit more expensive.... anyway...keep in touch and tell me what you guys are doing ....maybe I can help in some way.. What do I have to do to qualify for the PST? what kind of swooping qualifications do I have to do? the most important question is, where and when can it be done? where is it scheduled? Thats exactly the lens im considering buying....I was just wondering and checking up before I spend any of my hard earned money.....and NO, I havent figured it out and I've been racking my brain(is that right??)...I'll get it......I hope... Blue ones....

I've had this happen and I've seen this happen on my velocity and stiletto canopy, on the steering line...the end that finger trapped in just starts to come out through the line itself...kinda like what the picture shows, the difference is that that when it happened to me the actual end of the finger trapped part is what came out....The solution I found and was told about when asking about this(I asked many a rigger/master rigger) and it works for a while is to cut the excess that sticking out and than running your hand over the line to push the excess back in(or what left of it...0 In some cases this seemed to do the trick, in others it came back...so.... I've had it on spectre line and on vectran....and Ive seen it on dacron so I guess it happens to all.... Friends help you move, real friends help you move bodies

first of all thanks for answering, I know this is a weird thingy I'm talking about.....Very hard to describe.....Off course I know that wide angel lenses (not all of them) cause the fish eye effect...but I seemed to see something strange in the way the videos looked when taken with one of these lenses...i was wondering if any body else noticed it....anyway...I'll try and do as you said.....take picture of diffrent things with plenty of lines in them and compare...I'll post what I get.... Never said it was the right thing to do.....or that it was good or that the cat enjoyed it.....I'm actualy sure the cat didn't enjoy it.....but it happend....and The dude that did this....sat in a bad place for a long time....not for doing what he did to the cat but still.....he kinda got what he deserved.....he never ever did anything like this again...not to my knoledge at least.....

Hi everyone....I had a question and I was wondering if any of you could maybe help me out and give me an answer.....I was considering buying one of the small wide angel lenses from waycool or liquid and I saw one that a friend of mine has....it's not from any of the above name brands but the same thing(idea), I noticed that it has a tendency to wide angel things that are close up, meaning things on the sides, close to the edges of the lens get wider and fisheyed and the things in the center of the lens dont, I was wondering if anyone else noticed this effect and could tell me if i'm losing it and seeing things or if the effect realy does exist in these lenses....thanks(it's kinda hard to describe what Im talking about......) but thanks anyway....

I got a couple of real ones from israel.....(Military) A guy doing static line out of a c-130(hercules) reached back and had the palm of his hand ripped off....the soldiers on the ground searched for it and found it, it was reattached and he has use of 3 fingers or something like that....not full use anyway... Second one....a friend of mine, while being bored put a small deployment chute on a cat and through it off the third floor of a building...the cat drifted slowly to some electrical wires...hit them....shorted out the hole freaking base plus a couple of blocks around.....all computers fried.....my friend did some prison time for that one.....all well with the cat....when it hit the ground a bit scorched it ran a way....to be seen every once and a while still running...... Both are true.....

I had a question....it was answerd and so were many other questions I didn't even ask.....I an honored that Bill Booth could give his input.....But another question regarding this issue, Is there any recorded incident where the Catapult system caused a malfunction or kept one from being solved, anything that has caused deaths or injuries??? thanks.....

I just came across a REflex and when I opend it I found the Catapult Chute in it....I was wondering what you people thought of the system, good or bad or non of the above.....Love to hear what you all have to sya about it..... Thanks

Hi, I red what you wrote and i thought i had a simillar incident, I bought a new Velocity that was packed for a while....I would say a few good months...when I got it out the box it was hard and stuck, kind of the situation your describing...after some playing around I got it out and packed and it was fine, are you talking about this kind of a situation or something even worse.....completely gone? no longer usable or just stiff? thanks....
