I will never travel to USA to pay £600 in Air tickets minimum, £££££ in VISA (if I get it? I am Greek)
$$$ in accommodation-rent cars-buses, to just jump from the same altitude as Langar, make the same number of jumps as if I jumped at Langar......and all this because of the facilities or entertainment around the dropzone...NEVER.

So do you only jump in the UK?
The US is great for jumping and there are alot of very very good Skydivers out there that you will learn a hell of alot from, If you want to that is,

Have you been to many other UK Dropzones?
There are 25 in the UK, i have jumped at 11 of them and they all have their good points, There's no way you can say that one Dropzone is the best,
I like Weston because it's where i did my first jump, my AFF and where i've been ever since, but i like Hibaldstows Altitude and parties, Cark's view, Langars Boogies, Headcorns Lion pit and so on....

  2. Like Jerry said,
If the flat person sits in the door, and the hanger stands behind, leans over them and grabs near the hip rings, you then roll out the door, with the hanger going over the top of the flat flyer and the flat flyer arch's like a mother and the hanger stays tucked up slightly then drives down into a stand,

  6. I was just looking for the Icarus website and noticed exactly the same thing, came on here to ask the same question but found this thread,
I was thinking of buying a Crossfire 2, but if there is a 3 coming out i think i should wait,

Doesn't anyone from Icarus read these forums? They could answer our question and solve the mystery :D

  7. FF1 is part of a system we have in the UK to jump with other Freeflyers.

    FF1 Requirements

In order to obtain Grade 1 in Freestyle/ Freeflying (FF1) the parachutist must be introduced to FF by a CCI nominated FF2 Grade parachutist or equivalent of proven FF instructional ability, received a full safety brief and demonstrated the ability to:-

    a) Fly in a controlled sit/ stand position

    b) Control fall rate in a sit/ stand position

    b) Control forward and backward movement in a sit/ stand position

    c) Control turns in both directions in a sit/ stand position

    d) Fly relative to others in a sit/ stand position

If you want to read the whole document it's here
    http://www.bpa.org.uk/forms/docs/Form%20188%20-%20Guidelines%20for%20FF1%20&%202.rtf

After this we have the FF2 which is the same but on your head.

    Hope this answers your question

  8. If you want to learn Head-down, make sure you get head-up sorted first, and to do both of these you're better off getting coaching straight away.

  9. Just my input here, but i'd recommend getting coaching from the start, that way you have a reference point and someone who can tell you what you you're doing right/wrong,
If you're backsliding you could potentially go into the path, ot open above another group, and that's a bad thing!
Don't be in any hurry to get your FF1, by all means it may say you're 'safe' to jump with other people, but FF1 is a basic qualification,
It's going to take quite a few jumps to get good and even after you have that qualification yiu should still stick to 2 or 3 ways,
    People like Freejive
www.freejive.com and Outbreak www.outbreak-freefly.com offer great coaching in the UK that could help you,

Don't rush your Skydiving career, if you're safe, you have your whole life to jump and be a hot Skydiver

    I hope this helps

If BaByLoN, the World Champions, use them, they can't be that bad!

Empuria is a great place! Highly recommended!
