I have the Zkulls cage with two Zkulls quick releases,
It lets me use the camera as a top mount when i'm just shooting video, or on the side when i'm taking stills too,
very happy with it

Laszlo, Is the 24mm the same as the 24mm on my EOS? Or is it wider?

I have the 0.3, 0.43 and 0.5
I use the 0.5 for 4-way, 8-way and other FS groups,
The 0.43 for Tandem and AFF Outside camera,
and the 0.3 for Freefly HU and HD, and also for fast tandems that i'm not worried that i'm ever going to be too far away with

The Skydair office has gone from the DZ Car Park, It went at the end of the summer,
I think the company still exists though because I got a Christmas E-card from them!

The CX106 has only one difference as far as I can see, and it's an increased Digital Zoom 150x instead of 120x

the CX505 in the UK is listed as £999.99
CX520 is £1249.99

I've seen a video clip (Can't find it just now) that shows a CX5xx and a CX100 mounted on a board next to each other and shaken, the new CX5xx looked to be alot steadier.

Maybe once they're on the market we'll be nicely surprised and find that they are suitable for jumping!

I always used an open face when i started, but after hitting the wall a few times learning back layouts, I changed to a full face,
Although I think it was only psycological, I had more confidence in the full face knowing that if I did come into contact with the wall I wouldn't break my nose!

Hello,
I'm no swooper, but i've noticed people have modified their front risers by basiclly folding them in half to reduce drag so they cut through the air,
but then you have this huge pocket on your leg that surely creates alot more drag than the you lose from the modified risers?
Or am I wrong and is it only from the 3-ring upwards that actually has an effect?

(hope that makes sense...)

I'm currently looking at buying my first Digital SLR but have always had Sony everything and just wanted to know if anyone has used one in-air?
I'm looking at the DSLR-A200

I have worked for Sony previously and have used the Alpha range on the ground, but how do they do up there!?

My alternative is a Canon 350D/Rebel XT

One reason is i'm working in a Sony Centre for Christmas and I can get a good price on it.

I've always liked Sony and i've played around with the camera (no idea what i'm doing) but i think i like it

It would've been 5 x 200w = 1000w + 200w Active Sub

Your PS3 has a Digital Optical Output, which you can use to connect to an Amp,
then use the HDMI to connect the PS3 to your TV (If it's a HDTV)
Make sure you go to the system settings and set the screen to 1080p, default is 720.

Look out for a Sony HT-SS1100, nice unit, £250 in the UK, or the HT-SF1100 for £350 which is the same but with floor standing speakers,
They both have 2 optical and 1 coax input so you can link PS3, Satellite/Cable and something else. It also has a built in FM Tuner.

If you have a bigger budget the STR-DA1200 7 Channel amp is very nice, £350 without speakers.

Does anyone have any experience using this camera for Skydiving?

I'm almost ready to hand over cash but worried that it has optical steady shot which may not be suitable for Skydiving,

I've heard with digital camcorders that the Digital steady Shot on the HC7 is no good and the digital steady shot on the HC5 is better at keeping the image steady.
Is this the same for still images with the DSLR?

I hear progress has finally begun?
Is this a just a rumour? What's the news Mr. T?
