  1. Cool, his feedback wasn't as bad as that when i bid. When i bid, the only neg's he had was when he was buying stuff. I have his phone number, but when i phone he's "out" or straight to the answerphone. Is it possible to do reverse searches from phone numbers in the US. Ie, get his address from his phone number? Cheers again all!
  2. Fast response! I appreciated the help. I have just emailed PD pleading with them to confirm so details, great idea Tonto! mr2mk1g, cheers for the details. I have his phone number, which is similar (second line?). I can't really call at the moment as it's around 6:00 AM (especially, if it's the wrong guy). Any help appreciated!
  3. Hi, Bought this rig from eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3662925977. I have had one email asking for address, then I paid via PayPal. The auction finished 26th Feb. I have emailed constantly. I have tried phoning him but he’s always ‘out’. I am hoping that somebody knows Robin Lau, who i believe is also a 'medic' in NY. Any help appreciated!
  4. Last Sunday I launched a 3-way but after around 10 seconds lost formation. Then fell into a thick cloud (snow). I lost visual contact with the other two jumpers. My goggles 'fogged' so badly that I couldn't see my alti. I wanted to focus on where I last saw the other two to try and maintain heading. Otherwise I would have removed my goggles, in snow this would have been fun! Break-off was planned at 4500 and dump at 3000. Obviously I didn’t want to dump high (in cloud) as there may have been people after me. I couldn’t dump low as the other two were below me. I didn’t know when the cloud would end so I was forced to rely on my ProTrack. I wouldn’t have left it too long before dumping. At 4500 I turned 180 and tracked until the bleep. I was under canopy at 2500. Cloud base was at 2300-2400. On exit the winds were around 15 and little cloud, as we fell winds picked up to 30knots(or so) and brought cloud with it. It was so freak that only half the loud exited. Now to the point, without my Dytter, I don’t know how I would have handled this. Maybe I would have dumped higher. In any case I was happy to have it on that dive. Although i should add, i don't condier myself dependent. On a normal dive i always pre-empt my audible.
  5. Nether's is between Salisbury and Pewsey. Pewsey is a small unmanned train station with infrequent trains, in my opinion, in the middle of nowhere. Salisbury is much larger and is generally, quite easy to hitch a lift. Many taxi companies don’t like the Pewsey/Upavon area, and so tends to be more expensive. The above is my opinion.
  6. Hi, Just tried to see if www.skydivingmovies.com was up and found "Account for domain skydivingmovies.com has been suspended". Any news? Cheers, Dave
  7. So can i assume that the Cypress II has had more documented saves that the Vigil? The Cypress II, although based on the original Cypress is a new product. The batteries last longer, meaning that the power efficiency must be better. Is anybody worried about the Cypress II like people are about the Vigil? Secondly, The Vigil has been tested by x & y. Has it been tested by intermediate jumpers & students? I know i'm not as stable as an experienced jumper with thousands of jumps. Lab testing (simulation), although useful for development, i do not trust as part of the 'testing' stage. Having said that, i am about to place an order for a vigil.
  8. Ask around at the DZ and find if you can test jump somebod else's and see what you like the feel of. I persoanlly feel that the Neptune appears to be cheaply made whereas the Protrack looks..... good.
  9. So it must be fully tested. Has it been tested on students, or just dummy's and experts? Any news on where do get this in the UK?
  10. I have no idea. That would defiently help to identify the model. Cheers though.
  11. I've seen a good job. Duck tape on the outside of the ear protection holding two elastic bands, facing inwards. This made a good seal.
  12. Hi, I'd like to know what model Vector this is. cheers, Dave
