I've been following the posts abot HD with curiosity. I will be in the market for a new video camera this fall/winter. (NOT for skydiving. (yet). All of the HDV cameras from all of the manufacturers are 1080i. My question is, Is there an obvious difference in quality between interlaced and progressive scanning and what are the chances of someone coming out with a 1080P camera in the next 12 months? Doug, I noticed that the FX7 also uses MiniDV tape. I have absolutely no experience with HDVC cameras, so, my question is what is the record time on a standard 60 min MiniDV Tape?
