Once again this thread has been hijacked by personality conflictd, despite the fact more FBI documents have been released. We have a parachute found in E. Fork Lewis River, no more than a mile or two from a break-in at a general store. We have new information about Tina Bar. And yet we talk about events outside the case...

How did they know the chute was white? It says so in the FBI docs, but it's not like they pulled the chute out of the container before they gave it to Cooper. It had to have been either Cossey or Hayden who told them.

What was the address of that store that was broken into?

Batch 46 is nice because there are actually helpful margin notes from whoever the case agent was at the time.

That goes back to the problem with the parachute descriptions. No one would put a 28' canopy in an NB6. You wouldn't find a white 28' canopy in an NB8. So they were looking for the wrong parachute from the start.

RH says in a another article that Cooper would have landed at 50mph if the chute had deployed because of "wind" What? (p 191) RH was just making stuff up at that point...

P. 56-58 of FBI #46 describe a parachute being found right where some of us have Cooper jumping, East Fork Lewis River. Orange and White just like a C-9. FBI did not follow up on it :-/ Just upstream of Heisson bridge.

I think twelve years of constant discussion on this case, with all the infighting and personality clashes, is taking a toll on all of us.

Kaye also found a pin hole where a tie pin had been placed for years prior to the hijacking... funny how no one remembers that...

If nothing else, Tom Kaye's research fully excludes Richard McCoy. There's no way McCoy could have collected all those exotic particles on a tie he was never pictured wearing.

We need documentaries that treat the Cooper case as an unsolved mystery, instead we get suspectovision where a previously eliminated Cooper candidate is declared the winner.

Most of the effort regarding Kaye's findings on the tie have been toward explaining the results away, rather than attempting to find the tie's origin. Unfortunately.

There are almost certainly no Cooper bills in circulation now, and the bills Cooper was given were circulated and would have no collector value. So checking eBay is a futile endeavor. Even best-case scenario there was less than one Cooper $20 bill for every 142,000 bills in circulation. As long as Cooper didn't deposit the money in a bank in one large sum, or make one big suspicious purchase, the money was eminently spendable in the US or abroad.

It probably isn't, however, the FBI never looked at it or investigated this further. Another documemt says it was white and orange, a common color for a C9 parachute. The FBI information about the parachute has to be wrong in some regard as there wouldn't be a 28 foot parachute in an NB6 and a 28 foot parachute in a NB8 would be a C9 which weren't white.

What's particularly frustrating is this case now has thousands of released FBI documents that should be the primary topic of discussion here.

Lol, I remember it well. It's not a big deal, and Bruce was more qualified than me at the time anyway. I would not have taken it personally had I lost out to Bruce for the job. My reasons for not wanting to work on the project then are still my sentiments now.
