  1. That made me laugh =) It was sand, not mud though Anyway, I'm glad you all enjoyed the pics. Big thanks to http://www.aerograd.ru DZ Aerograd Kolomna for organisation and Andrey Veselov for taking pictures. Looking forward to see Team eXtreme, as they are coming to visit us late August. http://www.swoop.ru
  2. Hi there, we've had a swoop competition this weekend, check out some cool pix by Andrey Veselov on his website http://www.skyphoto.ru/foto_swoop_swim.html oh, and check out me on my safire2 115 loaded @1.3 swooping 33 meters http://www.skyphoto.ru/swoop_swim/Img_1809.jpg and just one more http://www.skyphoto.ru/swoop_swim/Img_1810.jpg http://www.swoop.ru
  3. It cost me 240$ for the coaching (6 jumps) + 100$ my & his slots (12 slots). But I suppose it was a special price for Russia (coaching) He used to coach at Skydive America, now jumps in Empuria. http://www.swoop.ru
  4. Hi ppl, This Saturday i was coached by Giancarlo Trimarchi - instructor from First School of Modern Skyflying AD license C. It was incredible - the progress we made in just 6 jumps - very positive transitions and the 'essence' of headdown flying. Bottom line - take coaching and I would definitely recommend Giancarlo - he's a great coach, great guy and one hell of a freeflyer! http://www.swoop.ru
  5. What size is your current Safire? Whats your wingloading ? What was it on the Stilletto? Mind you, I've flown both, and find Safire with a light wingloading (1.3, 115 sq.feet) a better canopy for learning efficient swoops. http://www.swoop.ru
  6. It's quite important to keep your legs wide. While moving forward make sure you push them in to go faster because your back is more exposed to the wind. That way you can keep the pace your partner is flying with http://www.swoop.ru
  7. At first I've found that TAKING a headdown position is easier than a stable sit. Mind you I was zooming around the sky. FLYING headdown (controlled) takes a lot more time, than learning sitfly. http://www.swoop.ru

Alright guys, I get your point =) Maybe i just like performing more than I like filming while I'm a much better cameraflyer than performer =)) http://www.swoop.ru

Thanx, Chris The reason for getting into the nationals is to get more experience, we have no illusions about our current level. Perhaps it's wise to stick to slots now, and go on changing'em after the nationals. Another thing is that the other two are flying stable headdown, while I fly solid headup positions, and while I can film them rather well in my headup, I'm focused on learning to fly headdown and it's definitely not worth doing while team jumpin'. Perhaps we should split for a couple of weekends... Haven't made up my mind yet. http://www.swoop.ru

Hi there, We're preparin' ourselves 4 competing in a national championship (our first), and I've a query to you, guys, who've jumped in teams. We've been sharing the camera almost every second jump, so that the 2 guys preform, while the other is flying the camera. The question is whether we should continue flying that way, or one should focus on the cameraflying, while the other two - on the performance. The reason I'm asking is that I'm the guy who's to film the guys, and I'm concerned on my personal progress at that time. Thanx 4 UR help! http://www.swoop.ru
