Hey folks, I was going through my gear collection, cleaning out the spider egg sacs and separating out my long lost collection of vintage leaking Duracel D-cell batteries, and came across the following: One complete rig, that someone dropped off to me in my rigging days for a repack (like 7 years ago) but never came to collect. There is no owner info on the packing data card. Anyway, my concern is that if I sell this thing, it could come back to bite me in the ass if it turns out to be hot, so I better do some due diligence. Anyway, it is an all-black Talon with some minor neon color pin-striping on the top flap. Falcon/Raven canopies. I dont mean one of the newer spiffy talons, I am talking about the old-ass early 90s Vector 2 style rig. Well, it's nice to see some things do not change on this forum... some people are just waiting for the right post to come along so they can take offense and get in an argument. Just cuz people at the DZ may be a little alarmed by guns at the DZ doesn't mean they are anti RKBA. Could mean that they might know sometimes people and guns do not mix. Trust me, I used to work at a gun range and I knew a LOT of people who own guns were NOT safe with them. In fact, I would say I trusted MAYBE 30% of the ppl that came in the door to not shoot me in the back on accident. I literally would not take my eyes off them until they were in their car and driving. Made for a very stressful couple of years. Despite this I still support RKBA. However, I get nervous when I see people with guns on display in a non controlled environment, given how many accidental discharges and just plain idiocy I have seen in the CONTROLLED environment of the shooting range. Guns have a propensity for going off on accident when handled by numbskulls. You may not be a numbskull (with your guns), but I do not know that, and at a DZ without backstops and bullet resistant windows and barriers, it scares the sh*t out of me to see (or hear of) random people showing guns off. To summarize, being afraid of accidentally getting shot through the side of a pickup truck or hanger or whatever because Joe Schmuck's son left a round in the chamber and Joe Schmuck is too dumb to clear the firearm is NOT a "quirk". It's a legitimate fear of bodily harm, and yes, at a DZ I should not have to be subject to that. Hey all, long time no read... I have had a lot of chronic neck pain for the past few years tracing back to a whiplash injury. I kinda negelected it, and while I can still function at pretty much 100%, I know that in 10 years that will prolly NOT be the case... I had seen a neurosurgeon 2 years back who recommended physical therapy, which I never did (because I am an asshole). This past week, I just started seeing a chiropractor. I seem to feel better afterwards, but I hear so much negative about the field in general... I figure if there is any forum where you can reach a lot of people with first hand chiropractor experience, it's this one. Anyone out there have any experience, positive or negative??
