  1. umm hold on a second, where did i deny that??? unfortunately there ARE nutjobs who happen to call themselves muslims who do commit all sort of despicable things, i never denied that ever anywhere on this forum. What im denying is that my religion doesnt preach that, its not religion's fault that some people interpret it any way they like it. and im not playing a victim, im just balancing out the facts, if we speak about muslim offenders there is nothing wrong with balancing things out with cases where muslims are victims, mass media usually ignores the last moment. did i write anything against screening before accepting refugees? you are trying to blame me for something i never said or thought. im talking about public speakers who call for closure of borders for syrians altogether. im a bit lost, is my english THAT bad that you made all the assumptions above? it is a sincere question, no sarcasm. im just wondering if im not expressing my position clear enough... ibx see my answer above please 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' 2. hydration and get yourself some non-toxic lip balm, since it gets eaten. i like Hurraw lip balms (sold on iherb or vitacost) on other hand, you might want to check your sugar levels and if thyroid is working properly.. 4. this is not some kind of witty observation, but generalisation and stereotyping. its like saying that there is something wrong with americans because of the amount of mass shootings or crooked police officers. media will never tell you about positive things that are happening in the countries and communities, they will pick and share whatever is working for the agenda that is currently being pushed. not even positive. have you ever heard of ethnic cleansing of muslims in Central African Republic? Rohingya? China (Uyghurs)? Did everyone forget about Iraq? Atrocities that happened in Palestine last year came to light mainly thanks to social media and not mass media. Did you put "Pray For Beirut" as a facebook status when there was a terrorist attack right before Paris attacks? Syrians are now being portrayed as terrorists with bigots calling for closure of borders leaving them to do what? p.s. add Guantanamo and Torture Report to the list above 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' 5. not only arabia, majority of muslims are not even arabs :/ 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' 'That is the only time a man can be brave.' George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
  6. guilty as charged its super late over here and i cant force myself to read lengthy texts, however this: ryoder, this is from that wiki article: "a political trend" within Islam that "has been adopted for power-sharing purposes", but cannot be called a sect because "It has no special practices, nor special rites, and no special interpretation of religion that differ from the main body of Sunni Islam" (Abdallah Al Obeid, the former dean of the Islamic University of Medina and member of the Saudi Consultative Council)[37] its not a sect, its a term that can be used in basically any context you'd like 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' 'That is the only time a man can be brave.' George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
  7. wikipedia is not a reliable source of information, at least to me, as a muslim on this particular matter :) 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' 'That is the only time a man can be brave.' George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
  8. these are all theories, there is a theory that isis is created by cia and mossad as well, there is a theory that saudis are US biggest allies, no one can prove it or deny it with facts. we can just speculate. btw there is no such sect as 'wahabi'. there are sunnis and shias and over 70 sects inside these divisions but there is no such a sect as 'wahabi'. sufis, ahmediyyahs, jafaris etc etc but no wahabis. it a word that is used by so many people and to all of them it means something else. shia's call sunnis 'wahabbis', sunnis are calling khawarij "wahabis" and some might call all us muslims 'wahabis' at the end it's a word with no clear definition. 9. my all time horror is lyme ticks. makes me too paranoid to enjoy hikes :( 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' 'That is the only time a man can be brave.' George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
  10. Well, before ISIS started ruining it Al Qaeda was ruining it. And before them the Taliban were ruining it. And before them the Iranian Ayatollahs were ruining it. And at the same time as all of them the Saudis have been ruining it (although no one seems to mind about them because the Royals speak perfect english with posh accents and like respectable things such as horse racing and polo so really they're just like us). of course, its human nature. there was a group of fanatic lunatics in every religion, ideology and race in human history. 11. My reaction to people wearing Muslim regalia is the same as my reaction to people wearing swastikas. If anything, Nazis have more to recommend them. BSBD, Winsor hi Winsor, my grandma (mom's mom) is jewish. im pretty sure she doesnt see me as a nazi with swastika. she and all her family were refugees btw who found new home in a muslim country, they were welcomed with open arms in a muslim home and she married my muslim grandpa. everyone is entitled to their own opinion however. i just wanted to share a bit of my family history with you 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' 12. amen to that 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' 'That is the only time a man can be brave.' George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
  13. politically motivated because they are basically illegal occupants. i agree with you, they are using twisted interpretation of religion as a political tool to obtain more power. game of words, we can name is as we want but what i am trying to say is that its not what my religion teaches, its not what Islam is. 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' 'That is the only time a man can be brave.' George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
  14. in deep far villages of certain countries with muslim majority where twisted culture prevails over religion, and education is unavailable some women might be forced to wear a scarf. It's not what she was wearing, but what was said. Her clothing was just reinforcement. "my religion promotes tolerance for women." Promotes tolerance. Tolerance is what a religion should have for those who are non members. If the most they do is promote tolerance for certain DNA types that are their own followers, no wonder they have so many issues. Even sadder is members of said DNA type in a country where they have freedom of choice, choose to be part of a religion that thinks so little of them. i always try to call people to look more into religion and not into people. Islam IS tolerant to any DNA or religion/ideology, in the times of the prophet (may peace be upon him) everyone lived under one roof, muslims, christians, jews and idol worshipping tribes, they all agreed to certain conditions of peace (no rebellions etc) and that gave them protection and rights to live as they live and have their own businesses etc isis is a scum of the earth, they harm muslims and image of Islam not less than they harm non muslims. people spent their lifetimes explaining Islam to non muslims and those inhumans ruined all that was built in just couple of years. islamophobia is on the rise, not a single muslim benefits from this chaos.
