  1. Smoking is a choice that should be made by the individual. What p&*%$es me off is those who smoke and have no consideration for those around them and the 2nd hand smoke they are forcing them to breather. Smokers should be free to choose to kill themselves, but not me in the process
  2. Best ever, many years ago was a C-130. Sitting on the ramp itself and experiencing the ramp opening for jump was the most amazing experience ever and the the freefall time from 14,500 AGL. The best for me!!
  3. Both my sons have done static line course and done a few jumps each. Unfortunately all , including me, now un-current. As soon as a bit more cash available, will get back into it. Marvellous sharing the best sport in the world with the kids !!
  4. First canopy was something called a Spearchucker. Evil beast that gave me whiplash every time it opened. Such a long time ago that I cannot even remember the specs, except to say that it as a steerable round with very little forward speed and one hell of an opening shock.
  5. Good vibes the peron concerned !!!!!!! I was diagnosed around 6 years ago, went through the surgery and the chemotherapy. It sure is no walk in the park, but the secret for me was simply knowing that I had friends and family who cared for me and who needed me to pull through for them. If you believe you can get through it, you will make that chemo work so much quicker and be able to deal with the nausea etc. Be strong and believe in yourself - Don't be afraid to accept the love of those who care for you !!
  6. Got a big shock yesterday when informed that my division of the company will be closing at the end of the month. A small matter of having a job means that I can continue living and skydiving. Anyone out there who has any bright ideas, a PM would be appreciated. I,m in South Africa, but hey, if I need to move, so be it.
  7. Not the same Chute Shop you refer to on this link. The organisation making Vortex etc is based in South Africa.
