  1. Yes, I've jumped all the DZ's within a couple hours drive: Delmarva, Cross Keys, Maytown, and Chambsburg. Out of the area: Reaford, and Eloy. Like I said I'm fairly new, so my list of DZ's is slowly growing. I like learning about past DZ's in the PA, and MD area. What about the name Pelicanland?
  2. I’m a fairly new jumper compared to everyone else who have posted on this thread, no pun intended. Living just north of Baltimore I wish a DZ would open up closer then a 2 hour drive away, so I enjoy reading the rich history Maryland once had! Thank you all for posting the story of Pelicanland. Where did the name 'Pelicanland' derive from?
  3. OR For the MFF guys... you're the first guy out in the chalk and do a dive exit soon realizing you're jumping a static line chute
  4. No..! Staying fit is my life, and all my hobbies have a direct correlation to that. Road biking has always been my number one passion and will remain so. I skydive because I'm also a HALO jumper for work, so the more practice I get on the civilian side the better I'll be at work. Plus it's mad fun!!!
  5. If my memory serves me correctly; the highlight's musical track is from the opening scene of Rambo First Blood part one. So... its not really a "highlights track" Fast forward to 6:50 if you're only interested in the listening to the instrument music from the opening scene of First Blood.
  6. carbon fiber is much stronger than general plastic that the pro tech are made from. In fact carbon fiber is even stronger than some metals such as aluminum. WTF mate? Carbon Fiber may be stronger than plastic or aluminum, but it is NOT tougher than plastic, aluminum, or steel. Would you take a 20oz framing hammer to a Cookie Composite helmet and expect it to hold up? Hell No! But you could take it to a plastic Pro Tech. Would you take a 20oz framing hammer to a Trek Madone OCLV Carbon Road Bike frame just to see if it holds up, then bomb down a hill at 40+ mph? Hell No! But you could take it to an alloy frame and still ride with confidence. Don't confuse strengthness with toughness
  7. Long time lurker, about time poster. Looking forward to learning, and also adding my .02 cents Other forums: Roadbikereview.com Volvoxc.com Peace, Marko
