  1. Users are able to add information to their profile fields to show their disciplines, ratings, jump numbers and more. This helps other users see how experienced you are in particular fields. In order to complete your profile, you can do the following: Click on the down arrow next to your profile picture on the top right navigation bar. Click on 'Edit Profile' in the dropdown list. Fill out the fields you wish to complete and then save.
  2. Warnings are taken against users who violate the rules of the site, they can be applied by a moderator or an admin. If you receive a warning, it means that something you posted was against the rules. In such cases, you should also be alerted as to why you have been warned, by a moderator. If you receive several warnings in concurrency, you will receive a ban for a period of time that fits the offenses committed. If you are unsure why you received a warning (ie: If a moderator has not specified the reason), you may reach out to one of our administrators for more information on the warning.
  3. No. We only allow one account per user. If you have deactivated your account but are looking to return to Dropzone.com, you can contact our support department and we will help you reactivate your old account. The only cases in which we allow for more than one username is if someone from within the skydiving industry wishes to represent himself on the site in a professional capacity, while also seeking to hold a private account. In these cases we allow that individual one business account and one personal account. Creating an additional account to evade bans can result in the permanent deactivation of your account.
  4. The most likely cause of not receiving your activation email is due to spam filtering. Be sure to check your spam / junk folders for our email, and consider adding the @dropzone.com domain to your white-list to prevent any spam filtering in future. If you are sure you entered the right address and do not see our activation mail in your inbox, you can contact our support department for assistance.
  5. We do allow for the changing of display names tied to your account, so long as this functionality is not abused. Your username will remain the same, but the name visible on your content will change. In order to change your display name you can follow these steps: Use the down arrow next to your profile icon on the right of your navigation bar. Click on 'Account Settings' On the left, click on the tab that says 'Display Name' Enter in your desired display name and save. Please Note:The abuse of name changes can result in a permanent ban of your account.
  6. In order to retain data integrity on the site, we do not delete user accounts. However, we will help you in disabling your account. Disabling your account will ensure you no longer receive notifications from us. Please contact our support department to request a deactivation of your account.
  7. If you have forgotten your password, we can help you recover it. On the sign in page, simply click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link. Or simply Click Here. If you no longer have access to your e-mail address associated with your account, you will need to contact our support department.
