ojf1982 0 #1 October 21, 2002 Made my first three wingsuit jumps this weekend in Deland. I got coached by Chris Ash and jumped out and I was having so much fun that I didnt look at the spot as we were flying through the air. Chris had to fly in front of me to signal me to turn. The suit was easier to fly than what i had originally thought and it is amazing how much distance you can cover in a wingsuit. The opening wasnt as scary as I first thought, but I did find it a nuisance in taking off the wings under canopy. I made one solo jump afterwards and one two-way with Jose. I am gonna have to start saving up money so I can buy my own suit soon. The edge ... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who know where it is are those that have gone over - Hunter S. geanky 0 #2 October 21, 2002 I hear you man...in about 3 weeks I am going to make my first wingsuit jump and hopefully my second and third and so on. So I'll probably have to start saving up for one. What did you jump a Classic or GTI? learn to fly in 3d

GroundZero 0 #5 October 22, 2002 I love taking newbies for their first jump... and EVERY time, they continue to fly into the neighboring state/country.... after many gun runs attempting to turn them back to the dz, they usually continue to fly on.... but... never have I ever seen a first bird-man jump (after they walked back a mile or so...) not have an incredible smile... I remember my first Bird-man suit jumps... flew to Hell's creation and beyond, walked for a long time through impossible terrain, only wishing I was already packed to make that load that just launched.
