H-mod and the Heatwave

Recommended Posts

I ordered a new Hornet for my wife back in April and was sent a Heatwave in error. She is jumping it, but she is not impressed at the twichy openings. Will the H-mod improve opening characteristics of the Heatwave? Thanks!

It'll probably slow down the openings a hair, but as for the "twitchyness", well that's because its a fully elliptical canopy. The H-mod will make it even more highperformance. If your wife was looking for a Hornet and got the higher performance Heatwave, then making that even higher performance may not be what she wants or is able to fly safely.

Actually, I think it's more accurate to say that the 'twitchyness' is because it's a Heatwave. That's not bad, just fact. I own a Crossfire2 and it's far from twitchy, put about 30 jumps on a Cobalt a while back and couldn't describe that as twitchy either.

Maybe I'm nitpicking, but to stamp a canopy as twitchy just because it's elliptical seems wrong. :S
