docjohn 0 #1 June 13, 2005 Can anyone help me with packing instructions for packing a Prodigy with a diaper? I've been jumping a Prodigy 200 for the past few years in a D-bag but I have acquired another Prodigy 200 that I wish to use, but it has a diaper and I (and my rigger) can't figure out how to pack it using the diaper. I've already heard the advise to throw it away and get a Lightning so please spare me that advise. And yes, I've searched the forums and I've searched the web. Please help! How does one pack a Prodigy with a diaper? Photos would be especially helpful. Thanks! . . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
krkeenan 0 #2 June 13, 2005 With all due respect, Doc, my opinion is that you should pack it into the nearest dumpster and call for immediate pick-up. I realize that was not a constructive suggestion, but I try to not miss an opportinity to express my opinion on that particular piece of gear. I'm sure that you will get some real advise from folks on the group who love that canopy, and can tell you plenty of useful info about it. faulknerwn 37 #3 June 13, 2005 Man - its been years - I seem to recall you make the "small" s-fold and then wrap the diaper around that. Make one large locking stow to hold the diaper closed, and then free-stow the rest of the lines in the diaper like you would a reserve... Then just s-fold it into the rig like normal... When Audrey sold me hers, she taught me to "jelly roll" the chute after flipping it over the container. Placed the diaper in the tray, with the lines from the risers going to the bottom. roll the sides toward the center. Then roll the top skin toward the container until you reach the bridle. Similar to a psycho pack. Fold whats left into the tray. That was one thing easier about the Prodigy, getting it into the tray. On my 150, the bridle was about mid-way after flipping it over. YMMV. docjohn 0 #5 July 8, 2005 Well, depsite all the recommendations to throw the Prodigy's away, we're getting the hang of the diaper deployment. Thanks for your help. Its a really ugly pack job but the openings are sweet. We're actually doing some decent crw with them. Thanks for the packing help.
