SkymonkeyONE 3 #1 April 8, 2002 I am back doing demos again on a "traditional" GK-type team, so I have been doing a bunch of CRW again. I always loved doing CRW at the bottom of skydives back when we all jumped "square" parachutes. Mis-matching didn't matter much back then. The team I jump with used brand-new StarTrac 1 and 2's; I jump a "1" obviously, since I am pretty small. Anyway, we were out at Raeford training last Monday and were doing CRW rotations, downplanes, and pendullums (drag planes). I was bottom guy on a pendullum with Johnny Mulford in the middle and Dave Dicks on top. We headed down the windline at about 2000 feet and transitioned the tri-plane to a pendullum at around 1500 feet. Dave dropped the downplane at 1100 and Johnny and I smoked the downplane down to 300 feet. I was the steering guy and Johnny was the "grip" guy, so when he let me go he RIPPED THE SOLE 90% OFF MY SHOE! I didn't really figure it out until I landed, then I laughed like hell. I duct taped it back on and continued to jump. Just wanted to pass that along.ChuckMy webpage HERE

SkymonkeyONE 3 #4 April 12, 2002 That is correct! I taped the sole of that shoe back on until I get off my ass and shoe-goo it. I think the tape adds character to those US Postal Service high-tops.chuckMy webpage HERE
