FrancoR 0 #1 June 2, 2004 Can anybody explain the advantages of tubes with outer rings like these: http://no-limit-extremsport.de/pages/tube.htm I was at two dropzones this past weekend and both had these tubes. My tube doesn't have this outer ring. All the previous theads i read never mentioned tubes with outer rings. Has anybody ever seen one on the west side of the atlantic? FrancoIf it does not cost anything you are the product.
VectorBoy 0 #2 June 3, 2004 No I don't see any advantage in this system. I would like to know the reason for this configuration myself.
jmfreefly 0 #3 June 3, 2004 Having just finished construction on my newest tube, I would guess that it is actually for ease of construction. My tube has the rim with the tube sewn around it. Unless you have a machine that has a very high foot adjustment, sewing this is a royal pain in the butt. Additionally, getting the tube sewn symmetrically is a challange with this honkin rim in the way. Making several attachment points to the tube seems much easier to do. j
