SLOfreefall 0 #1 August 8, 2003 What is the best technique for transitioning from headdown to a track away from center, specifically when you are facing center. I assume that when several people are involved flopping to a belly track is not desired. What is the safest method of making this transition without the sudden change of speed? Vertifly 0 #2 August 8, 2003 The best way. Get practice with turning 180-degrees and tracking on your back. Otherwise just go out very slowly and do a 360 on the way out of the formation. The more experienced that you get, the bigger dives that you will be getting on, the more useful this becomes. Take a look at the picture attached. All of the flyers here have, like, thousands of freefly jumps. When they track away, they turn 180 and track on their back. You can tell that they are in the process of doing it. Actually, I'm not sure how many freefly jumps you have. Your profile says that your total is 50. If you are still at this level - go get some coaching and don't do anything more than a two-way head down with someone who knows their shit. Please. Hope this helps dude!
