WatchYourStep 0 #1 January 27, 2015 I have an old Rawa helmet which I have a DSLR on top and a box for an old Sony HC42 on the side. Our DZ is all digital so I need to get a new camera or come up with some other options... The box won't hold any of the CX models, even with an insert. I asked my friend about building an insert to help fill the box but no luck. So any suggestions? I could try to remove that box and just put an L-Bracket on the side. Or snag a newer go-pro and mount it in the front. I'm open to suggestions to what you guys have done with your old helmets that you don't want to get rid of yet... Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out." Zlew 0 #2 January 27, 2015 looks like you can still get boxes for the cx100-150 line. http://www.chutingstar.com/skydive/rawa-cx100-105-camera-box-3409 http://www.chutingstar.com/skydive/catalogsearch/result/?q=bonehead+cx http://www.chutingstar.com/skydive/cookie-blackbox-cx100-130 Before getting my FTP, I had a CX150 side mounted with the cookie box. worked fine. Could you go with an action cam? I know some DZs do, and some don't, but the new sony with IS seems really appealing to me.
WatchYourStep 0 #3 January 27, 2015 Yeah I could do an action cam.... Thanks for the suggestions. I'm hesitant to buy another box because that adds $120 to the cost plus a camera. For something that I will only use skydiving. However maybe that is the best option. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Dokeman 0 #4 January 30, 2015 The cx cams usually go for under $100 on ebay, no not really worth buying a box for
