six8fbird 0 #1 June 14, 2009 I may be answering my own question here, but thought I would ask. Is the Liquid flat lock top mount adapter the way to go? People running vid cameras on Protec style helmets. What type of mount are you using? I am using a similar helmet but I think it may be different in the interior. http://www.backcountry.com/...-Variant-Helmet.html I plan on using a Sony CX-100, thanks in advance! Top mount of course. ltdiver 3 #2 June 14, 2009 Might want to post that link again, as the one in your post doesn't bring up the helmet you're asking about. btw, why not go with a proven skydiving camera helmet? Why try and adapt a ski helmet? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
six8fbird 0 #3 June 14, 2009 http://www.backcountry.com/store/SMI0479/Smith-Variant-Helmet.html Sorry didn't add that this is the helmet I have been using for BASE. Lately I have been skydiving it with the GoPro Cam and don't care to much for this setup.

mwabd1 0 #5 June 20, 2009 Well you can still buy a a protec that is fully set up with mounts from............Skydance Headgear (had to look it up as they changed their name).......I bought my first helmet from them 10 years ago and it is an affordable system that has the perfect angle for shooting tandems, etc. I believe that you can just buy the mount from them as well.. http://www.skydanceheadgear.com/popup_image.php/pID/37.......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!
