I have a HC5 and I want to shoot HD and it'll only downconvert to widescreen, and I like widescreen anyway (for tandems at least), we have more tandem vidiots shooting 16:9 now than 4:3 but lots of other people still shoot in 4:3, giving me more work when editing daily vids ciel bleu, Saskia Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

dragon2 0 #5 March 29, 2008 Because I have to re-size the 4:3 clips to fit and make a decision about the horizontal positioning (sometimes people fill up the screen...), and because the computer then takes more time to render those resized clips.
