Yup, but then you can't edit it either :P.

The problem with using JPG for image storage is that editing and re-saving the image results in a measurable quality loss. So, until you've got that image in its final form, use a lossless format such as PNG, TIFF, or PSD.

Yes, this works. Your are absolutely correct. I was just giving another example. :^) I save both my original pictures on a CD (may move to DVD next) and also the 'finished product'. If I want to edit more, I do it off these. :)
