Pelican Case Set Up???

Recommended Posts

I have ordered a Pelican 1650 for my Flat Top Pro. I was wondering if anyone that is using this (or a similar case) for their Flat Top has any pictures of their helmet in the case. I am trying to figure out which would be the best way to cut out the foam to provide the most secure & protective lodging for my helmet.

Many thanks in advance.

You might already have seen it, but BlueSBDeath posted this pick in a thread last week:reply]

Yep. Saw it, thanks though. I was looking for something more specific to the Flat Top, where as that is a side mount helmet. The set up could be a good bit different.

I have a d-box on top. I was also thinking that the side with the ring site needs to be on the top side. Comments? Pictures?

I have an ftp that has a side mount on it and it wont fit in the 1650 case .For sure the only waqy you'll get it in there is on its side ,even then it'll be snug.

An FTP with a SIDE mount? I don't think I've ever seen that! I dropped Bonehead an e-mail before I purchased to see what size they recommended. They said inside dimensions of 29x18x10 inches. The 1650 is listed as 29x17 7/8x10 1/2, so I should hope that it fits ok.
