QuickTime file size

I was looking to take some of the movies I’ve made for the DZ and convert them to QuickTime format for Skydivingmovies.com however the file sizes are way to large for the internet. I’m using Final Cut Express, does anyone know what settings I should use to get my file size down so they are more Internet friendly.

What file size are you trying to hit and what level of user acceptance are you willing to endure?

1mb per minute? 2? 5?

I just tried exporting a 15 sec clip from FCE in Quicktime. The resulting file was 300kb or about 1.2 mb per minute.

I did the following....
File-Export-Quicktime
In the "Save" window that poped up I chose:
Format - Quicktime Movie
Use - DSL/Cable - Medium
and saved it. FCE then exported it....320x240 in size.

The Save window also has an options buttone where you can play with codecs, frame rates, key frame rates, etc to your heart's content. (I have QT Pro so don't know if all the options are available if you don't have QT Pro.)

Playing around with the program last night I found the USE feature. The DSL/Cable formats set everything up for me.
