New Cam eye plug

Recommended Posts

I broke my cam eye plug in the port of my pc 100. I managed to get the plug out of the camera but now my cam eye is plugless. I was told you can get a new one thru [email protected] I emailed them but it appears to be a bad address, I thought I read something on here about someone picking up a new plug at Radio Shack. anybody know how I can get a new plug??? Thanks

Depending on where it broke at, you may be able to repair what you have. Strip down all the plastic covering the plu and you will come to the metal base and whats left of the wires or where the wires disconnected from. You should be able to solder then wires back on and then you can seal the plug head in a hard drying silicone or like material. I know becasue I had to trim my LANC plug down completely in order to get it to fit in my D box with the camera

you can cut the plug off entirely, go to radio shack for $4 and get a new plug....solder it back together...only concern will be making sure there is clearance in your dbox so that the plug will not mess the lanc port up (the replacement plug will be slightly larger)....

very simple fix, pm me if you want more detail....
