CanuckInUSA 0 #1 January 24, 2003 I have a question for any knowledgeable Sony DCR-PC120 camcorder owners out there. I have noticed that the camcorder resets the last focus setting when the battery is replaced but I was wondering if this is a battery issue or a powering down issue. So here's a scenario: - Turn the camcorder on - Set the focus to infinity - Turn the camcorder off. - Turn the camcorder on again. Will I lose the inifinity focus setting? Thanks in advance ... garywainwright 0 #2 January 24, 2003 No other sony cam resets that i have seen. If you haven't already bought one then try before you buy! My Sony cameras lose their settings if i leave the battery off for about 5 minutes - infact this is what i do when i get a moisture warning! Leave the battery off for 10 minutes and the camera 'forgets' there is a problem!http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

danwayland 0 #5 February 7, 2003 Try taping down the focus ring around the camcorder lens. Moving this ring while wiping the wide angle lens or shuffling around will cause the camcorder to go from infinity to manual focus. With mine taped down, it stays focused to infinity.-- Dan Wayland http://www.danwayland.com
