base698 3 #1 March 11, 2003 I've done very little of both. I have gotten the best with a light front riser 90. What techniques have others used to start?

JessB 0 #3 March 17, 2003 If you are just learning the canopy. I wouldn't recommend that you use the harness method until you feel comfortable with the riser approach. Go ahead and start with the basics. Keep your chest strap tightened to prevent weight shift in your harness. Once you have the risers dialed. Start adding fome harness input. skygod7777 0 #4 March 17, 2003 jess, damnit, your just trying to be difficult. just to dissagree with me huh but, i would say, you would have less riser input, and it would be a slower turn because of that (not whipping you as far out, it would be more like a carve than a hook). but hey, it's just my opinion, and opinions are like assholes................everone has 1 and they all stink later
freekflyguy 0 #5 March 17, 2003 Out of curiosity, what were you flying and how were you swooping it before your velocity?? BuzzIt's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

base698 3 #7 March 18, 2003 Nah it was a Manta 288. I figure might as well go for the Velocity because I wanted to jump it anyway.
