Newbie 0 #2 June 13, 2002 also what are snaps for on the leg straps? Just to hold the straps in place tighter? Thanks
Remster 24 #3 June 13, 2002 The real definition od a retractable PC is a PC that gets pulled back by a reefing systems on the Canopy for CReW. My guess is that they mean a Collapsable since this is for the rig, not the canopy. When in doubt, ask them.Chest rings = more flexible and comfortable fit. Many people have no rings at all and have a very confy rig, other people (me included) love the added confyness.Triple risers: risers where the break line are mounted on a 3rd set of risers to provide more performance for swooping. Even the top swoopers are divided on the usefullness of these. I doubt you'll need that.Snaps: you mean B-12 snaps? these are the hook type attachments of the leg strap that are commun on student rigs. Unless you have really bad flexibility and cant get the rig on without unthreading the legstraps, I wouldnt recommend those.RemsterMuff

Remster 24 #5 June 13, 2002 ooops.. forgot to explain these.. lolI would get those if I were you. They will make learning different flight caracteriscs (sp) of your canopy a lot easier, plus I doubt its a very expensive option, and you dont have to use them.RemsterMuff
airdrew20012001 0 #6 June 13, 2002 Quote on teardrops container ordering form you get the option for a retractable pilot chute - do they mean collapsable or is this something else? Probably means the kind that they put on CRW rigs. These pilot chutes have a regular bridle attachment point then one or two other rings more toward the end of the canopy so when the wing is open the pilot chute does not trail behind the canopy. Note that the most of the difference, if not all, is on the canopy not the rig. Was this a complete rig you were looking to buy are an option on a new rig?Drewfus McDoofus
